Got one free drink at the bar below included with my room. Free WiFi and breakfast, also. Overall great place to stay, and a good price.

I had an absolutely incredible stay here. Extremely friendly and down-to-earth staff, a free drink and live music in the bar below every night, really big lockers in the rooms that have outlets in them -- it all made for a good time in Zurich. Ideal for people traveling alone because it is so friendly and easy to meet other backpackers. Don't let the 'Red-Light' reputation scare you -- it's a perfectly normal safe European neighbourhood. The rest of Zurich is so incredibly clean in comparison!

I don't think you can find another better place than Langstar with low budget in Zuerich. Just 7mn by bus from Zuerich HB and 10mns to the centre. The room is clean and secure enough. The staffs are extraordinarily helpful and friendly. when you need help, you will see how great they are. The little bar downstairs is a cool place to have a beer with live music. You won't feel alone here even you are travelling on ur own. Thanks to Lucas and the amazing staffs!!!

not really close to the train station, have to take 4 stations bus though. Some of the staff are helpful. The bed are annoying and I have been bitten by BEDBUGS.

The hostel has a nice vibe to it - the bar/cafe downstairs is fun yet chilled, and the staff is friendly. Area is on the edgier side of town (a few craic heads on the street), but walking distance (15 mins) from train station. I booked the hostel based on its top rating, but overall thought the hostel facilities itself (bar/ cafe aside) were just mediocre. Bunk beds were very creaky, bathrooms not clean and required long waits. Overall, average experience.

I was sort of unimpressed with this hostel. It's right above a bar, and it's clear that the bar is more of a priority for the staff than the hostel or the guests. The hostel itself is in an apartment building that has been reworked so that some of the bedrooms have six beds in them. The beds are old and SO NOISY - every time someone moved in their sleep the whole framework made a horrible creaking sound. Made it hard to sleep through the night. Breakfast is included though, which is nice.

It was good, fairly easy to find, quite a walk from the train station, staff was great, it had a bar so it was great for meeting new people and socializing, even included a free drink with your stay. The breakfast was better than most so thats definitely an up side.

The hostel was clean and the pretty brunette at the bar who checked me in was friendly. She recommended a spinach pizza which I enjoyed and a brew which came to CHF 12. I gave her a 20 note and she disappeared with my change. Lol. Other then that the hostel was adequate. Thanks!

I really enjoyed staying at this hostel, the staff were really friendly, it had a great atmosphere and I loved the live music in the bar downstairs! It's only downfall was the cold showers. It seemed that the showers only had enough hot what for one shower at a time.

Great hostel! We felt totally at home. Our room was really clean, pretty spacious and had lockers that were big enough to fit all your stuff (and they have outlets in them!) The bar downstairs is super cool- great atmosphere, friendly people, live music almost every night and you get a free drink! Staff are crazy nice and the location is really good- close to the train station and the city-center. I would recommend this place to anyone looking to have a wicked time in Zurich!!
