The only downfalls of this place are that there is one bathroom/shower (same room) per floor of 4 rooms. This meant that there were 8 people fighting over the bathroom/shower at the same time. If you plan on having the "runs" or have anywhere to be, I wouldn't recommend staying here. However the rooms are with a/c and have comfy clean beds. Your call of what's more important!

We enjoyed our stay and would recommend. Only small downsides were the rooms are very dark and windowless, and the beach isn't close, however bicycles are provided which is great

Good budget option, make sure to go in high season as much of koh lanta goes into hibernation for the low season.

It's certainly not a social hostel, but the rooms are cheap, spacious, comfortable and clean. The staff are lovely, helpful and can get you good discounts on transfers etc, but they are not always around during the day. It's pretty far from the beach but you can borrow a (slightly sketchy) bicycle for free as long as you are back by 6pm. There is a toaster, microwave and fridge which is rare in Thailand! They provide towels and toiletries, but I didn't actually see any tea or coffee!

We went willing to stay just a couple of days. We ended up staying almost one week. The first impression of the hostel is not so positive: it is quite far away from the best beaches, no 24 hour reception, no safe. Though the staff (a family with a small kid) was really kind to us, provided us with guidance about the key attractions of the island, free bicycle to ride around the town (just possible to go to 3 or 4 beaches nearby, good wifi, microwave, fridge. Good value for money in the end.
