Lapa hostel was awesome. I had previously stayed in another hostel in the neighbourhood which had no character or "cozy" feel. The breakfast was great and the people super friendly. There is even a wii! I would definitely stay there again.

the 4 bed room had no natural light, the ventilator was very noisy, the staff would watch TV or play loud music, late at night...

Lapa hostel is a nice hostel, although there are a lot of people in a room. Twenty people in a room is a lot, although they made the room quit nice with enough space for everybody.

I had a good stay at this hostel. The location is pretty good and people are very nice. My only complaint is that there was mold in the bathrooms, which among other things caused an unpleasant smell. Other than that the facilities were clean though! I'd definitely stay here again.

Good location for a party!! Jus a street away from the arches and further on to the Lapa steps. Go out in a group as Lapa itself is a bit of a dodgy area. Stayed in the 20 bed dorm which was massive, so didn't feel like you were sharing with a lot of people, also had lockers. Shower, toilet facility's were great, looked new!! A decent breakfast. Cute cat there to :)

The staff was average, but It coul be better, they could be so much firendly than they are. I think the cleanliness could be much better. It woul help a lot to have some kind of activities inside the hostel so there could be more interaction with some other people

Not a really nice hostel for a long stay. It claims rooms have AC, but at mine it was an extremely noisy device which can barely could keep the room warm. Sleeping was almost impossible. The staff does not speak other language rather than Portuguese and communication was hard. Also they tried to charge me the complete price for the room, not discounting the hostelworld's deposit. Definitely not returning to this place.

An excellent hostel right in the heart of the Lapa action of Rio. The staff are friendly and helpful, the rooms are good sizes and the lockers are large enough to fit your valuables in and more. The vibe here is excellent, with a very sociable kitchen/dining area for meeting new people, drinking games and making food. It's reasonably clean and tidy and a pleasant place to stay.

Lapa hostel is up there with the good ones. The location is excellent, being right in the thick of things in the middle of Lapa. The staff are very helpful and friendly and the place is clean and well run. The kitchen area is good, and provides space to meet new people and have a couple of drinks. The only downside to this place is that it needs a larger common room as when busy, the kitchen just can't hold everyone. They have free Caipirinha hour too. Would definitely recommend.

we just stayed the night we arrived in brazil before heading down to copacabana, but it seemed close to plenty of bars and the streets around were buzzing, so decent for hanging out at night i guess

The staff was really nice and the hostel was very clean and I think the price-quality was excellent! It would have been helpful if the staff could have more information on how to get around in Rio by bus. When we asked how to get to the Christo and to the Saleron stairs they couldn t help us.
