Pros: good facilities and theme nights (paella, pub and tapas tours) nice decor and lounge downstairs. Didn't use the kitchen so can't comment on that. Close to Metro train station. Helpful staff Cons: thin walls don't stop an iota of sound, so can be noisy when the other hostellers return at night. Probably suited to a younger crowd.

A great hostel providing everything you could possibly need. Reception staff were lovely and did everything they could to help. Rooms clean and kitchen best I've been in so far. A great place to meet people and get to know Madrid.

Las musas is just amazing! Its really cheap for everything you get, the installations are great, and so is the location, the environment and the cleaning. Also the staff is very very friendly and welcoming. It doesnt have an oficial breakfast but the hostel offers free tea, coffe, hot chocolate and hot churros, its just great and you can actually have a breakfast with that. Some nights they offer plates of paella for €3.The only thing I wouldnt recommend is the tapas festival, its so not worth.

Staff were really great. The walking tour was definitely worth doing. Had a girl called Erika do it and it was really fun and informative. Only downside in the room (10 bed dorm) was that there seemed only to be one socket and it was under somebody else's bed. There were loads of sockets in the common room however so not really a problem. Very good value for money!

This was an average hostel. I found it a little difficult as an English speaker— the majority of the clientele seemed to speak Spanish almost exclusively, but I suppose I should check my linguistic privilege. The bunk beds were creaky, and you had to buy a lock to use the locker. The worst thing, though, was the hot water: very inconsistent, very unreliable, somewhat scarce. However, it's a decent hostel for the price! & I liked the paella night and (free) churros for breakfast.

Had a great time at Las Musas. The free walking tour and tapas event with Erika were definitely a couple of my favorite memories of Madrid. The people at the reception were welcoming as well. The room set up was great. Despite sharing a room with multiple girls, I did not feel cramped. The breakfast of churros was nice, however I would have liked an additional breakfast item. Would definitely recommend.

3 of us traveled and stayed in a 4 bed with bathroom, was nice but only hot water for one persons shower the rest got cold water. Enjoyed paella night, tapas night and pub crawl!! Had a great time. And great location!

An amazing location, the staff were great and the kitchen was really good. The only problem was the showers - don´t expect any hot water in the morning after about 8.30.

The staff there barely speak English and also seem to not want to be there. When I asked for advise etc they were very un helpful. They don't provide you with a bed spread which is 3 euro. Thought that was a bit weird, however the tapas night they organised and the guy running that was great!

Good overall. Unfortunate location for a good hostel- there is a dodgy crackden building nearby and lots of drunk street people around. But it's very near the nice parts of the city. Facilities good. Seemed quite safe and secure despite surrounding area.

Great place to stay. Las Musas was very secure with the use of electronic cards to access rooms. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. They made an effort to make people feel comfortable, helped me book some activities, meals and even a shuttle service back to the airport. There are various activities happening during the week. They even have an internet cafe downstairs so no laptop needed!

A really good hostel. Location was great although the area is not wonderful, it is very secure to walk late at night. It was always clean an having a shower in the room was great. Great place to stay, I recommend it. The Toledo tour is not that great, I was expecting to hear a little bit about Toledo but we were just left there to wander, which is good but maybe a little bit more of info beforehand is always good.

When you enter the hostel, it's really loud. For me it was really annoying, because the entrance hall is the salon as well and I couldn't understand a word, the man told me. As well the lift is catastrophe, specially if you have your room near by. I couldn't sleep until the last person has taken the lift... Best regards Doerthe Weidner

This hostel has a great location right in the heart of Madrid. The staff is overall friendly, some are much friendlier than others. The rooms were fine and the bathrooms were too, just very very small (the bathrooms). Overall my stay here was fine.

Everything is good. Except the elevator is not fm the ground floor, the speed of wifi is too slow and only worked in the common room. And the rooms near to the stair are too noisy. I was waked up by people several times when they back to their room at night. But overall, the hostel is safe, clean, location is convenience and staffs are nice.

I loved staying at here! The staff were all super friendly and helpful, and the day trips and evening events were amazing! I would definitely recommend staying here.

Literally 3 minutes walk to metro station, excellent staff and hotel standard bathing room (tips: visit the 4th floor toilet!) But bed sheet and linen wasn't left by previous guess wasn't cleaned.
