staff in awesome! it's so secure that sometimes I couldn't even get out :) okay Internet.
Several taxis didn't know where the hostel was so a lot of time was spent driving around a few blocks looking for it (happened on multiple occasions). The woman owner is quite rude; she even locked the hostel and left and my boyfriend and I were trapped for 20 minutes inside! Terrible bar (nothing but local gross beer) and kitchen dirty. Washing machine is expensive ($4) and doesn't ring out water at all.
The hostal is in serious need of disinfecting; rooms, bathrooms, kitchen, etc.

It was low season while I was there so the hostel was empty but the facilities were good and the staff is great. Juan Carlos had great suggestions on what to do.
Everything would be perfect if it wasn't for that damned music they start playing around 6 PM. They play it VERY loud but with cheap speakers so it comes out so distorted it doesn't sound like music any more if you stand 20 ft away.
It's a great place to stay; calm, nice garden with hammock, very friendly staff and good free breakfast ! I will definitely recommend this hostel !

I can't recommend this place enough! The location is great! Only a few blocks from the Cathedral in a town that's walk-able as it is! The staff in amazing and Juan Carlos, the bartender/all around helper, is an awesome dude who will show you a great time! If you're going to Leon, you'd be crazy not to stay here!
Great little hostel close to everything but not smack in the middle. The staff was wonderful in helping organize volcano boarding, rides to the airport, etc and in giving advice of where to go in Leon. There was, however, a definite language barrier with them. Bathrooms were good, as was the bar/hammock area where you can DJ your own music. 6 person dorm was BRUTALLY HOT. 3 person dorm was better.
The best thing about this hostel is the beautiful little garden they have. You have hammocks where you can relax to a small bar. The breakfast is tasty and is included. Highly recommend this place.
I had a great time here, Juan Carlos was a great help in directing me around town. Nice clean beds, bathroom was cleaned everyday, can't complain!
