Lavender Circus Hostel, Doubles & Ensuites Reviews

We arrived at this very charming place just by coincidence. Though the entrance doesnt appear very inviting, once you enter the hostel you will definitely like it. It is a very cosy place made with a lot of love to details and extremely friendly and helpful staff. Being made up just for double rooms, this hostels has a bit more of a privacy feeling than other hostels do, but that doesn't mean that it gets boring. There is a beautiful common room which serves as reception as well. RECOMMENDABLE!!

Thank you for your helpful service and all the care you showed us. A special thanks for allowing us to use the hostel after check out time and keeping our luggage safe so that we could enjoy our last day in Budapest free of burdens on our backs. We will strongly recommend your hostel and remember it for further trips to Budapest!

It was the best hostel I´ve ever been in. Simply perfect. The staff really nice and caring, helping you with every doubt or question you might have about the city. Lovely!

Lavander Circus is such a lovely place to stay in Budapest. Everything is brilliant, most of all the stuff (ZSUZSI :) they alway take care of you and if you feel bad, you get a delicious Pálinka =) the whole week we felt like at home! In every place in the hostle you can find interesting details and artwork which make the place even more comfortable! Thank you sooo much for everything, when we are planing our next trip to Budapest we will stay again in this great hostle! Take care....

The hostel is hard to find as it is in an historical building with no sign outside. This is good for security, you can't tell the hostel is in that building and unless you know the access code you won't be able to enter. There is one apartment which is perfect for couples: big, comfortable, with an alcova-like bed and it was only about 12 euros each a night! The staff is lovely too, always smiling and willing to help and give advice.

The staff is amazing and the atmosphere and decor was great. Definately on of the best hostels we have stayed in!

Fantastic Hostel. Could not recomend it highly enough. Stayed for two nights in February and the staff were amazingly helpful, room massive, loved the fish in the toilet, and the very warm welcome. Its was toasty & warm inside even when outside was two degrees and because of the balconies I bet its wonderfully cool in summer. Would go back in a flash.

I can absolutely recommend this hostel. The staff is very welcoming and helpful so I felt immediately very comfortable. Also the hostel is very nicely decorated with a lot of art, it looks like a mixture between a museum and a home. This is one of the nicest places I ever stayed at!

Staff are all very friendly and interested in their guests, always there with a welcome drink for the guests and information about the city. There is a very relaxed atmosphere here and it is very clean, nice bathroom. The location is really good too, thanks for a great stay

Very friendly and helpful staff, delicious homecooked dinner, and the concept of an open kitchen allowed for more interaction with other travellers. Overall, i had a fabulous time in Budapest, thanks to Lavender circus hostel!

This is by far one of the best hostels I have ever stayed in. It has a lovely communal area and so much character. The staff are amazing and went out of their way to make us feel at home. We were cooked a tasty homemade Hungarian meal for free and welcome to as much wine as we wanted. The rooms are all fantastically decorated. I can't recommend this place enough! You won't regret staying here.

This was a great place to stay and I would recommend this to any one that wants to go to Budapest and have a nice quiet get away. The staff was very helpful and had great suggestions for restaurants, bars and clubs. The rooms were clean and great decorations, a really unique feeling. I loved it

Such a wonderful place to stay. The hostel is so quirky and full of character, the apartment lovely, warm and clean and Andreas the manager is a legend-so friendly, helpful and kool. Would love to stay again.
