I really loved staying here, the staff are lovely and very friendly and helpful. I would recommend this hostel to everyone.

I read a few reviews about the hostel before I booked and I can only agrree. I got good advise and I had a nice quiet stay in a clean room.

Thank you Sandy for your help. Our room was great & she made our first night in NZ very special by helping us out for the dinner booking, the directions for sightseeing & etc. love love love the crazy dogs & cats as well.

Felt a bit uncomfortable as the one guest in a family home, but the owner was super sweet and welcoming. She even went out of her way to drive me to my bus at 7am. What a sweetheart!

We had a lovely stay at Lavender Towers. It was so cosy and homely, the perfect way to end our vacation. The dogs were absolutely adorable and we had a good time having them around. Really friendly environment, they made us feel at home. Would recommend it to anyone!

I first thought this room was overpriced due to size and location, but Sandra soon changed my mind as she is worth her weight in gold! The breakfast is yummy, she even got up early to make it for me when I had an early bus and offered to drop me off at the station! The room and facilities are spotlessly clean. It's out of the city but bus stop is right outside the house and there is a nice pub and supermarket nearby, plus quiet street means best nights sleep I'd had in a while!!

Lovely, lovely people. Would always go back to that place. Highly recomendable.

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at Lavender Towers. It was a perfect introduction to the friendliness and hospitality of New Zealanders and an excellent start to my South Island holiday. The owners are a lovely couple and very welcoming. I felt very relaxed and comfortable in their beautiful home and am looking forward to returning one day.
