Extremely smoke friendly, very comfortable room. Sonja and Lazlo were very helpful and kind. Very close to the city centre, just outside the red light district. Nice coffeshops in the area. The outside door has no sinage so if you're looking for this place, you may get a little bit confused, but just look for the right house number and you'll be sorted - it just looks like a normal private house.

This hostel is seriously epic. The room was clean, extra comfy, beautifull, twice as big as you expect from the price range. I was not sure when i reserved if it will smelling weed or not, but it turns out not, thanksfully ! Definitly come back there next time !

It's a good place to stay, only next door building was damaged and falling down. This caused my door could not be locked easily (building structure). Other than that, everything was perfect, Lazslo is a great gentleman always taking care of you and your needs. I left a package of cigarettes for the next visitor in the room ;-)

Like staying at a chilled out friend's flat. Lazlo was incredibly friendly and helpful in every way. The location is perfect if you want to be central without a lot of noise and bustle at night and if you like Chinese food you are a stone's throw from Nam Kee which is excellent. I will definitely return to Lazy Monkeys when staying in the Dam again.

Stayed here for 4 nights with my partner in Easter 2013. Can't really fault this place, our room was super comfy with a nice view looking over a canal from the window. Location was superb and owner was really friendly and welcoming. Only thing to watch out for is there is no sign identifying the entrance which looks the same as other houses on the street so when finding the place make sure you know the exact street address and sound the doorbell to be let in. Highly recommend, would stay again.

Try to be very exact with arrival time. Guy who attends you is incredibly kind, he alone has a lot of keys to have a good time in Amsterdam, he knows good places to drink and know. We had a problem with one headlight, however he fix it quickly. It is a Bed and Breakfast, although there is not breakfast, you'll be near everything in this cool city.

had a great time staying here! Room came with bong, grinder, papers, and mixing bowl, as well as a tv and xbox. Only complaints were the remotes were all dead so couldnt utilize the xbox or any of the DVDs that were with it. Great place regardlesss though had a wonderful time! the owners are both great people and were very welcoming + had tons of advice on what to see in the city.

It was small and casual hostel located at the edge of Red Light District. It was more like someone's big apartment. Hostel rooms had a lock and were pretty clean. Toilet and shower room was alright, nothing fancy though. But everything was worth the money. Would be perfect for budget packpackers.

It's not really a hostel, but a rented room. Nonetheless our stay was wonderful! The location is fantastic and the owners are SO nice. I would definitely stay there again!
