I really liked that each bunk was like a very small room

Very nice hostel with a cool atmosphere, and the owner is super nice! It was nice to have a plug and light on each bunk and a blackout curtain to block the light.

Clean comfortable nice staffs

The situation is good and the hostel is clean. Apart from that, it has no common space, the only room with 15 beds has no natural ventilation and it gets really hot at night. The staff is not that helpful, they are quite busy with the restaurant. For similar price I've been in better places.

Hello David, Yes, we have a common area! We have a cave where you can stay, relax or eat! But if you prefer, you can stay too in the cafe restaurant! It's open to everybody! For the price, we are the cheapest hostel in France! May be next time!? See you! Mathieu

Bathrooms were good and very practical for sharing with lots of people, and the lofts in the bedroom were really cool (very high up!). Only things I didn't like was that the ladders hurt your bare feet, so wear shoes, and the bath mats coming out of the shower hold water and are pretty yucky. The price is fairly expensive for what you get, but I think that's just france hostels for you.

Hello, Thanks for you comments! we just change our bath mats for a better system! and we project to change our ladder for an 100% wood one, homemade like all the hostel! see you in few month to see that! Mathieu

Location is far. Totally anti-social hostel.

Very nice and well-designed room. There was a mix-up with beds, and confusion as to who slept where. But this was sorted in the end. 2 showers to 15 people - this is do-able and pretty standard. Beds are comfty and you have a curtain which is nice. It's also very close to the metro and market on a sunday.

The lack of normal common area was annoying. Just a place to work or eat would be nice. In the restaurant it sometimes is too loud, and in the basement it's completely impossible to be, let alone eat: it smells awful in there! Moldy and stuffy. Also, some random people were coming and going, and some of them were extremely loud. A group of 5 people moved in at some point around 5am, and they were literally shouting for a half-hour without any consideration to people sleeping there. Beds are cute

Definitely the best hostel I've been to. It has a great atmosphere and it's very unique. The hostel has very lofty beds, with rope ladders. Very colorful and clean. Definitely will visit again if in Lille.

Pleasant and friendly staff who give helpful ideas over breakfast. Clean toilets and good showers. Hostel close to the underground Metro.

This was a cute hostel with very friendly and helpful staff. In the dorm everyone has their own bunk with a curtain and light. Sheets (but not towels) were also included. The only slight downer was that there was no common area apart from the restaurant and no kitchen or facilities for making hot drinks, heating up food etc. However, it sounds like this will be coming soon! In the meantime, the staff obligingly gave me hot water for my tea and let me put food in their fridge. So all happy!

A really pleasant place to stay, staff could not have been better or more helpful. Only down side is nowhere to prepare food or drinks, you are more or less obliged to buy tehse from the cafe. Lille is an amazing place and deserves to be better known, but is expensive; Le Cirque offers outstanding value for money and a superb atmosphere within an easy walk of the main attractions. Tip for visitors - bring a (small) torch if you might need the toilets at night!

I enjoyed my stay in this hostel very much. It has a good location, just a couple of minutes from the nearest metro station. Staying there is totally relaxing, as there is much space inside, and big beds are perfectly separated from each other, as each place is equipped with curtains and a lamp, so that one can feel oneself very comfortable. There is a bar/restaurant at the hostel, so you can eat and drink something, as well as listen to wonderful music.
