Very nice hostel, nice staff. But the room 101 ( and it's the only one) is on a front of a really noisy street ( lot of nightclub and bar close to)

Stayed here for one night. The beds and bathrooms were super clean and nice, the facilities absolutely fine, and although simple the breakfast was pretty much standard hostel breakfast. For price and location, this hostel cannot be beat, especially if you\'re passing through Montreal.

I got bitten by lice or something similar during the night spent in the hostel. I don't recommend to anyone going there.

I enjoyed the stay in Jazz hostel. I liked the most Jazz´s generous breakfast, and an opened atmosphere. The room I stayed in 6 bed female dorm is luxurious...with a big wardrobe, lockers and even a fridge... The bathroom is directly in the room so if you are lucky and you share the room with nice people, it is almost as if you were in hotel. Hope it will continue to do as good as I experienced it....

Le Jazz has an awesome location, super friendly and helpful staff and a nice kitchen/social area to hang out in or enjoy free coffee. The staff really makes this hostel a must stay when you are in Montréal and need an affordable place to stay.

Perfect location, close to a Metro junction and off St. Denis. The breakfast could have been more varied, but for what we were paying per night, it was good value.

We stayed in the double bed suite and was pleasantly surprised with the room Really nice feel, very antique looking and quite clean! But make sure you check out right at 11 or they will take your stuff to the front desk Also be weary of their debit machine, it actually caused the bank to cancel my card! learned that the hard way...

The advertised "free bagels" never appeared although the breakfast that was provided (cereal, toast, coffee and orange juice) was more than adequate. It was definitely nice to start the day with breakfast and not have to pay for it separately. The room was HOT. Nice, if you're prepared for it but it was February and I had fleece pyjamas so I boiled. Also there was only on plug in the whole six bedroom dorm. That was crazy. A power bar would make a lot of sense. Location was just okay.

The hostel was overbooked and our linens were still wet on our bed. Someone's dirty underwear was left on our bed and a stranger tried to climb into our bed during the night because the staff hadn't told them which beds were theirs. The bathroom was dirty and in the same room as the shower, meaning that if one person in a room of 12 took a shower, no one could go to the bathroom. The bunk bed frame was so flimsy that it almost tipped over and the top guard rail broke off. I would not recommend.

We love Montreal as a city, but this hostel came close to ruining our stay in the area. The staff is disorganized and rarely helpful, and the atmosphere of the hostel is less than welcoming. Our room was filthy and uncomfortable (and we have had a lot of hostel experience before), and it had no lock on the door. We attempted to rent locks for lockers from the receptionist, but they had run out and did not seem to be overly concerned about it. I would never recommend this hostel - keep looking!

Nightlamps at every bed instead of just one light source in the ceiling.

I spent a great new eve night in Jazz, staff organized a party with all guest and few Montrealer before to move in old city center for fire works, staff is very friendly and organize parties few times a week. Room was clean, there is lokers, and there is a self service breakfast. Very good memories of this hostel!

Great hostel with a fantastic location right in the middle of the Latin Quarter. Easy access to bus, movie theater, restaurants etc. Sleeping in the dorm area was very pleasant--no late night noises or anything which made it hard to sleep. Also very clean and great complementary linens.
