It's a good hostel... Excelent location, nice staff, comfortable rooms... But it also has it issues, like the wifi that doesn't work when there's a lot of people in the hostel (mornings and evenings, for example) and the shower, that need some kind of tricks to work well (and we never know that the first time we use!). But besides that I have nothing to complain about Le Montclair! It's definetely a place where you can have a nice stay! (if you don't care about wifi and baths hahaha joking!!)

Very good included breakfast, nice staff. Although VERY bad Wifi. And very few sockets in the rooms (dont know if thats the correct word but i mean the two holes in the wall where you can plug in your cellphone to charge it). The staff was very nica though and let me charge my phone in the reception.

We enjoyed our stay very much, friendly and helpful staff and good breakfast! The room had nice beds with very comfortable pillows =) Poor wifi on the room but good in the reception. Toilets and showers were clean and not shared by so many rooms.

I didn't like having to hand in my key when going out. Also, it seemed like there was no identify check when you asked for it back at end of day, which is why I gave security a poor rating.

I had a very good stay at this hostel: the staff is really helpful and nice, the location is great, the atmosphere was lovely and alive and beds really really comfy! breakfast is very good too considering it's included and Vladimir, the guy helping us with it, was so nice I feel I have to thank him! The only negative aspects I could point is you have to pay if you want to use internet and that it was difficult to keep the water hot in the showers, but that's not a big deal! great hostel overall!

This is a great place to stay in Paris - in the heart of Montmartre, a lot of small shops with food around, 2 minutes from the metro. Although we booked a mixed dorm for 10 people and the lowest price, we got to stay in a private room at the top floor that even had a view onto the Sacre Coeur. Breakfast was delicious and the croissants very fresh. Toilets were very very small and the wifi slow, but all in all we were happy to stay there.

Lovely hostel which was clean and reasonably priced for Paris. Close to metro station. Friendly staff. Free breakfast. Free wifi but only in reception area and signal was variable.

The staffs are really helpful, friendly. The location is good, very near to metro, and in montmatre area, it's very walkable to Sacre Coeur. There's only a narrow spiral stairways to lead you to your room, and it could be 4th storey. I carry a backpack so it's not an issue for me, but be warned, don't lugged a big luggage with you!

Very overpriced. I would have been much happier had I paid €10 less per night. This hostel is only worth about €12 per night, yet they charge far more.

We really liked this place because it was walking distance from Gare du Nord and the beautiful Montmartre is right around the corner. To get into the center you can rent a bicycle from the Velo Libre service and within 20 minutes you're at Notre Dame, Louvre, etc. Breakfast was okay, but we were glad we had bought some cheese the day before because jam was the only thing they offered on bread.

everything is really good, excepting sound isolation. it's really terrible. you can hear everything that goes after the wall. and doorlocks - you can't lock the door silently. but if you are familiar with sleeping in headphones, it wouldn't bother you too much. my ranking is 4 of 5.

I enjoyed staying at this hostel for 4 nights. The staff was helpful and friendly, our room was cleaned every day. However, frequent lack of warm water in the shower at 4th level was frustrating. All in all, I'm going to stay there again if I go to Paris next time.

Pros: The breakfast was great! Good atmosphere in general with friendly and helpful staff. Cons: I was disappointed to find no oven for cooking, so I had to microwave a pizza I had brought.

Breakfast is fantastic. The rooms really small but hardly in them so not too much of a problem. The was an error with our booking bur they fixed it for us. Some rooms have pipes in them from the rooms above thats make noise in the middie of the night when someone flushes. .Staff spoke English really well. Metro line 12 is close.
