It's a great location, very safe. Staff were nice enough and helpful, the only downside was the price, but Paris in general is expensive.. Great atmosphere if you want to meet people and have a good time.

It is a very big hostel, which puts a strain on its limited facilities - at dinner time there is a queue for the kitchen. Still the staff are excellent and it is a well run hostel. It's difficult to find budget accommodation in Paris, so it is excellent if that is what you want. The breakfast is excellent.

The stay was great. Meet some really great people. We had booked into a 6 person dorm and arrived and was given a 4 person dorm. The only issue we found was the squeaky beds. If anyone rolled over the whole bed would shake. There was also no step to get onto the top bunk which for some would be an issue. The breakfast was really good value. People shouldn't expect a 'quiet' night sleep as the walls were paper thin but that isn't a major issue when staying in a dorm.

The shower is super tiny, you can not turn around and just the upper body can be washed. The WC is not only tiny but also dirty. The breakfast is not sort of buffet, it is limited. But can to ask for more at this price.

Great atmosphere don't change a thing, except for the breakfast.. some people might like a second croissant :) Leah from your staff added a cheerful note my days in the hostel.

Staff were in general helpful. It was great to have a kitchen to use. We met some great people in our room with was good. Staff gave us maps and helped us with navigating the city. SHower was very annoying having to press the button to keep the water running all the time.

Number of rooms too large and shared facilities aren't enough for everybody (kitchen, living room, etc). 6-floor building with no elevator and terrible stairs (steps undersized). One of the bunks at room 403 had stairs missing. Internet access is expensive and the browser is outdated. But let's be fair: the neighborhood is nice, with many pubs (cafes) and restaurants and mini-markets open until late.

great area, but the lack of hot water for showers, the extraordinary amount of noise late into the night, the disgusting bathroom floor and decrepit interior make this hostel not worth it.

We hate the kitchen which was too crowded and dirty. We don't like the shower because the water frequently became cold. There was NO elevator so we had to lift our luggages up to the sixth floor (in France there is a ground floor, so we actually went up seven floors). And the wifi was only available on the ground floor (this explains why the kitchen was always crowded with people)

Carrying my luggage 6 floors up with no elevator was my first deception. A person with disability could never be in this hostel. Pictures on the website are much better then reality. Room 22 needs refurbishment NOW. Humidity stains on the ceiling are terrible. And what's that about having no lockers in the rooms? On the website they say they have hairdryers. Not true in room 22. Neither they have mirrors in this room.

Owner Comment (Show)
Bonjour, Thanks for your comment, it help us ! The lift is a project we have, but needs time . For the room 22, we just finish the renovations now. The hairdryers are at your disposal at the desk. Sorry for the troubles and hope to welcome you another time to proove you that we can do better! Romuald, Manager

The higher you went in the building the more dingy and less kept it felt like it was. I think you might have a bed bug problem too. Also sometimes very hard to log into the internet.

don't really have any complaints other than the price, but most hostels were pretty pricey in Paris. Some of the staff is more helpful/nicer than others. Wifi in rooms would be awesome!

Room smelt of feet. Floor in the corridors seemed to be rotten and falling away as we walked.

Talking about the hostel, the beds were good but it would be a good idea to add lockers inside the room, hangers for the coats or towels are necessary. Unfortunately the staff was poor just one of the receptionists we met was nice and smiley the others were to busy and really straightforward with their answers, not even a: "Welcome to Paris". The staff in the kitchen probably was the worst, I think 1 person in the dining room is not enough for all the work and that gives as a result a moody face

Not good value for money if you're a budget traveller. There are cheaper hostels/hotels with similar facilities. No elevator (prob if you have a suitcase as the stairs are narrow + steep). Showers mostly cold water! Hot water comes on for a few sec and then reverts back to cold - its really traumatising especially now that its freezing. Wifi only available in the lobby. However this hostel has a great vibe + fully equipped kitchen + decent breakfast + never had to wait to use the shared bathroom

Second time staying here, just for one night en route to a hotel I booked with points. I really like the location in the MontMartre district if you're trying to be in the artsy area up on the hill. Very close walk to lots of little cafes and the Sacre Coeur church. Solid breakfast in the morning and the wifi works good.
