Very good Hotel and good value considering the Vietnamese Holiday. Good spacious rooms and nicely located away from the main street. The staff were very helpful as well. Our only complaints were the hot water was turned off in the morning. We were told this was to conserve energy, which I understand. However, we hadn't left our room yet and weren't able to use the hot water. also, the maid came and rang the bell in our room at 8:30am to give us towel. annoying, as we were on vacation.

A great cheap stay @ Catba. Clean and spacious with wifi. The shower was cold though. Staff were friendly.

Good hostel, dorm on the top floor. It was the off season so the bar and hangout area wasn't really in use. No key for the lockers, so can't lock anything up. Friendly staff, cheap scooter rental, good advice for trips. A good, cheap option on Cat Ba

This was a basic hotel - The room was massive and the bedding was clean - It did smell a bit moldy/damp in the room and the bathroom could have been cleaner, but all in all it was great value for money.

It's a 3 dollars room, and it's the best 3 dollars room in the world buddys. You'll never find another place with this price and with the quality that they have, good beds, average toilets and showers. Recommended. If you want to spend double amount of money you can find a room with sea view in cat ba. double of 3 is 6 so it worth it.

Nice place, stayed in a private, very spacious. Mildew on the wall and strong smell in the room. Most of the staff is pretty nice and helpful. Great deal at $3 a night!

Can't beat $3.50 a night for a dorm bed. However, I couldn't figure out how to get the hot water running in the shower, and there was no security to get in the dorm itself. No real atmosphere at all here really, but it is a quiet island and I was there in the off season. Still, good value for money if you just need a place to crash.

For 3.50 a night I can hardly omplain. Everything was satisfactory. My experience was probably unique as i came in off-season and had the 12 bed dorm to myself. My onl critique is security- the lockers are fine but the main room has no lock and, being alone, I felt kind if exposed. Other than that my experience was fine. Jim washelpful but the other person on staff spoke little English.

We enjoyed our stay here though found the wifi to only work on the third floor, thus we spent a fair amount of time in the stairwell trying to get work done prior to leaving Cat Ba. Overall, a nice place.

Le Pont, was a nice place to stay, just situated away from the harbor. Just a short walk up the road. It was clean, an pleasant, with an amazing balcony at the top just by the Dorm. The staff were very friendly and could speak perfect English. Jim helped out lots with hiring Bikes, and Kayaks, and suggesting places to go. What a lovely week i spent on Cat Ba

It's the only place to stay on Cat Ba that's got dorms which makes the decision easy. Good value for money, good location and helpful staff. Downside: no key to the dorm and no lockers inside and only one bathroom. Would still recommend it for it's chilled out atmosphere and cause it's easy to meet people.
