Welcome to Hôtel du Simplon, a 2 star hotel with character and charm located in 'presquîle', the 'peninsula' between the rivers Rhône and Saône.
Our hotel is near the main train station of Perrache and the greenery of the place Carnot. Our hotel has 37 rooms with reasonable prices.
Although this part of the city is primarily residential, three commercial streets run through it, leading to the place Bellecour, the largest square in the city : rue Victor Hugo, rue Auguste Comte and rue de la Charité whose galleries and shops are heaven for antiques and art lovers.

Good hotel for the price, the staff was very helpful and it was conveniently near the subway stop. The only problem (which I would not return to this hotel because of) was the bathroom smelled very bad and it made the whole room smell bad. For one night it was bearable, but I would not go back if it all the rooms are like that.
