Beautiful Hostel overall. We stayed in one of the "Caravans" outside and had a great time. The heater provided gave us plenty of warmth, so the cold was never an issue (it was november), and the bathrooms inside the main hostel were clean and awesome. Great stay.Beautiful Hostel overall. I stayed in one of the private room gypsy caravans, which are good for two people and very alternative. Though not too big (and cold in winter I bet), they are very quaint and make a change from the normal hostel experience. The hostel is well equipped with kitchen laundry ect, and reasonably sociable (communal guitar a big bonus). The fact that the social space and sleeping space is all in one would be a problem, though this didn't affect me in my caravanI stayed in one of the private room gypsy caravans, which are good for two people and very alternative. Situated in an outstanding location in the heart of the Old City, Le Sous-Bois is quite possibly the best hostel we have ever stayed in.T he charming private 'caravans' are incredibly snug and just a short hop from the main building with the showers and (free) laundry machines. If you are stopping in the winter be sure to wrap up, it gets quite cold, but the mini heater packs a punch and there are plenty of blanketsSituated in an outstanding location in the heart of the Old City, Le Sous-Bois is quite possibly the best hostel we have ever stayed in.T he charming private 'caravans' are incredibly snug and just a short hop from the main building with the showers and (free) laundry machines. Great hostel! Very charming, friendly atmosphere, close to the metro and located in the beautiful (if touristy) older part of the city. My only complaint would be the over-inflated air mattress. Good practical set up of dorms and I like the ecological theme. I found the atmosphere a bit dull though...perhaps it was just a quiet night.Good practical set up of dorms and I like the ecological theme. I found the atmosphere a bit dull though...perhaps it was just a quiet night....Close

amazing hostel, and the best i've been to in north america, for sure. tons of character and the other qualm is the kinda loud beds and the fact that one of my showers was SCALDING hot. other than that, though, it's absolutely brilliant. the set-up of the place, the staff, etc. makes it all kinda feel like a home.amazing hostel, and the best i've been to in north america, for sure. tons of character and the other qualm is the kinda loud beds and the fact that one of my showers was SCALDING hot. other than that, though, it's absolutely brilliant. the set-up of the place, the staff, etc. makes it all kinda feel like a home....Close
