It is a really nice little hostel with helpful and friendly staff. The communal areas are very relaxed and quiet. Not really a party place but a nice hostel all the same.

People at the front desk should speak better English.!!!. They need to do a deep clean there. I felt BED BUGS all the time, even when siting in the living room. :(

I was impressed with my stay here at Le Tour Shanghai. Spacious, clean room, working facilities. Lots of communal areas to meet many other laowais. Location is ok, - not super central, but is right next to the metro station. The staff were lovely and very helpful. A real nice stay.

Beds extremely hard- like rock Rooms were freezing- Staff very unwelcoming- everything seemed like too much trouble. Eg when I asked for breakfast they told me I couldn't have some things as it took too long to cook, then it still took 2 hours to arrive. Got washing done but clothes not very clean and many still damp. Positive points- no bed bugs so better than last place!!

The limited hours for using the shared showers was inconvenient. And, the door from my room to the balcony was broken. But, otherwise, everything was fine.

This could be the worst hostel I have ever been to. Too many noise besides subway station together with poor environment. I would like to leave when I get at the moment. Main reason as below: 1, it takes more than 15 minutes to check in and it was only me. 2, the reception looks kind but they are not warm enough and I cannot feel the home like in other hostels. 3, nothing can makes me happy the only one thing is nothing.

I am a 56 yr old Australian man and although I have been to China on two guided tours in the past this is the first time I have travelled to China alone and by my own accord. Tne staff at Le Tour Shanghai Youth Hostel helped me feel welcome and the directions of how to get to the hostel from the airport by train, worked like clockwork. Thanks you to, Stan and the capable delightfull staff. Gary Lawrence
