5mn walking from subway station. Easy to find. 3 stations from Shanghai railway station, so if you come from Beijing, it's less than 10mn!
If you looking to meet people try city central. This place feels more like your living room. Chill out do your own thing. Get away from the Shanghai hustle. There free usage of the TV with plenty of movies to select
I felt very safe there and the staff were always polite. Few minutes walk to the metro station so easy enough to get into the centre.
Totally satisfied with the hostel, one of the most cleanest I've ever been. Reccomend to get a private bathroom, since each floor has just 1 western- and 1 chinese toilett. Beds are ok, stuff is very friendly, some shops (also 24h) nearby, also a big shopping maul & for food you can decide between 5 chinese restaurants just around the corner and for dinner after 9 PM there are 3 different streetfood possibilities right infront of the hostel.
I stayed one night there in a double private room with ensuite bathroom. Room was clean, bathroom too. I didn't have much time to hang out in the common area but it looked very cosy, with many sofas. I wouldn't hesitate to stay there again some other time !
Very good hostel with relaxing community area and a fine location 5min walk from Jingjiashan subway station. Staff is helpfull but there English isn't always so good which makes helping out difficult.
Le Tour is my favourite place to stay in Shanghai: it is clean, friendly, comfortable and a little oasis of quiet in the craziness of the 'hai. Not a party hostel, not full of hyped-up youngsters looking for non-stop craziness: just a quiet place with comfortable couches, good beds and clean bathrooms: somewhere to sleep and a great base to explore the city from.
This place was just a mess, I was supposed to stay 3 nights. I left after the first one... one toilet per floor, what is this... I higly recommend the blue mountain bund hostel if you want to enjoy your trip in shanghai. It is better located, the facilities are ten times better, same for the atmosphere...
Very nice and quiet place. When I was there it was almost empty. I liked the quiet and being able to relax. The staff is nice, although not very proficient in English. It is a 5 minute walk from the subway. The neighborhood is a bit dirty and not very pleasant at night (but not dangerous).
