Le Tour Traveler's Rest Youth Hostel is located near Nanjing Road and Jing'an Temple metro station, serving lines 2 and 7. Hostelworld travellers tell us this 'spotless and quiet' hostel is a '30-minute walk into the French Concession' and has a 'great rooftop snack and drinks bar'. Several of our guests have stayed at this hostel a number of times before and say they will again, thanks to its 'true tourist-friendly atmosphere with a comfortable, safe and cosy environment'.

Le Tour Travelers Rest Youth Hostel is located in the downtown area of Shanghai and is just 10 minutes walk from the Subway (Line 2 and Line 7) (JingAn Temple Station and Airport City Terminal). Shanghai Exhibition Centre, Paramount Entertainment and former French Concession are all within walking distance.
Nearby Nanjing West Road is a busy main road with offices, shops, restaurants and pubs. However the hostel is set back in a quiet residential side street away from the hustle and bustle. The building itself was built in the 1930s and is a former Towel Factory that used to supply towels to almost every family in China. When renovating the building we tried to salvage and re-use as much as we could from the old building much of the furniture, flooring and panelling that you see in our guest rooms and common areas are made from the original timber.
We can offer accommodation in double rooms, twin rooms, apartment rooms and shared single-sex dormitories. The hostel offers a lively, vibrant atmosphere and has a Caf and Bar, 24 hour access, free internet, bike hire, laundry, luggage lockers, garden, TV/DVD lounge, Table Tennis, Billiards and a quiet reading room. Also, at our reception there is a Travel Center, where customers can book flight and train tickets, as well as tickets for local one day tours and acrobatics shows, and much more besides

We're in a great location, less than 15 minutes' walk from JingAn Temple, the former French Concession and the airport city terminal. I recommend that people also visit the Jade Buddha Temple and the antique markets.

There's a lot going on at our hostel to keep guests occupied, like ping pong, a pool table and satellite TV with plenty of international channels of news, sport and films. We also organise activities from time to time, like dumpling parties, Chinese lessons and bonsai lectures. There are fine bonsai on the terrace originating from earlier Chinese versions of penzai.

Quite happy with our stay at Le Tour Traveler's Rest. We were in a private twin room, it was comfortable and clean. It was an internal room, but still had a window to let light in. The staff were few, but all plesant enough. The location was the best thing, just a short taxi ride from most places of interest and most driver's knew where it was. Good shower with hot water available every time it was needed. WIFI was available in the reception area, but not in the room. Overall, very happy.
