I like everything about the hostel but the surroundings of the hostel is not so beautiful. The internet connection should be improved.

Overall great experience. They needed to reach us about switching rooms, but we didn't leave a number, so they upgraded us to a private for free. Staff spoke perfect English. A nice patio bar upstairs, seemed a bit vacant but would be a great place to hang out with a crowd. The shower in our room seemed to somehow leak all over the bathroom floor after use, but it wasn't a huge issue, and otherwise the rooms were clean and fine. Pretty close to main metro lines, so easy to get to bars/bund.

a decent hostel if you're just looking for a place to stop for a rest, but it's not close to anything and there's absolutely no atmosphere (common room is just dead). I stayed one night and then cancelled my second night to say at Blue Mountain Bund, which has an amazing location and equally great atmosphere!! (highly reccomend, I've stayed there twice). also the shower room here stunk so bad of sulphur, and there was no water pressure. bed was comfy though. as I said, decent for a 1 night stop.

Wifi was not available in our room, even with a borrowed router. A pity. But, we really enjoyed our stay. The beds were soft enough and the doonas lovely. Staff were friendly and helpful.

Very good hostel in a central location. Good, helpful staff and very functional layout in renovated older building in an historical area. Stayed in very clean 6 bed male dorm with fine bedding, secure new locker and fine fellow travelers. Excellent feeding and provisioning to be had about and all facilities required are on the premises. Value for money and will stay again when back in Shanghai.

It's a little bit difficult live in the under construction place

Stayed for a really quick stop overnight. Great staff and good facilities.

This hostel has comfy and clean dorm rooms, ample lockers, and AC. The toilets and showers are thankfully separate, and cleaned daily. No organized social activities but you can hang out at a really nice and inviting rooftop. Drinks and food are overpriced, but you can buy your own beer (5.5 yuan for a big bottle of Tsingtao compared to 20Y at the hostel) at a nearby store. The wonderful staff really make this place shine, even tho' it's pretty basic and no-frills.

Surprisingly clean, i've never seen such thing in other hostels. The common areas (showers, restrooms) are very neat! The dorms are clean as well, equipped with lockers and A/C. The staff speak English and was very nice and helpful. There is a rooftop on which you can take your breakfast, it is quite cosy. Also, good location in Jin An district, although not so close from the subway stations (about 5-10min walk away from ChangPing road and Jin An Temple stations)

It is over rated, all the staff is rude, not friendly to answer easy questions. I stayed 4 nights and they didn't want to clean even the trash bin.

Nice location, 10 mins walk from Jing´an temple metro station, close to local neighborhood, one of the best experience to have a glance of the local life(if you want to see the real shanghai life) There are some local restaurants nearby the hostel, also a nice cafe called Shang High Tea( 蝶舍) and western style restaurants. Corridors of the hostel is wide and ground floor common area is spacious, since the whole hostel was transformed from a towel factory. Nice rooftop garden and a relaxing bar.
