Cheap. Dirty. BEDBUGS. My room was on the same floor as the reception, and the walls are paper thin. The staff doesn't tell people to turn down the volume at night. Loud music was played until 2 AM and at 5 AM someone was running around screaming like a maniac. The guests are also allowed to smoke inside, and the smoke gets into the rooms- smells really bad. It's too bad, because the place has a lot of character and art work.

Worst place ever! It's not even a hostel,it's more of a squat.By far the dirtiest thing I've ever seen. My bed had millions of giant bed bugs, I was only asleep for about an hour and when I woke up scratching I counted more than 50 bites all over by body. Filthy bathrooms, I used the nearby Mc Donald's toilets, they were much cleaner. Noise all night, people smoking anywhere, do yourself a favor fellow travelers, stay away from this place!!!

Great atmosphere, if you are looking for a vibe of travelers, this is it... Very helpful staff, with everything and the last day we had to leave at 4 o'clock in the morning and without even asking Jerome got us a really cheap taxi for 10MYR. (The day before we were looking for a taxi on our own and they wanted 40MYR). Definitely coming back!

We had a great time there. Very interesting old heritage building and quirky interiors. Everything we expected after reading the reviews. Right in China town and close to all the great food and transport, friendly helpful staff, can find someone to chat and drink with any time of the day/night, never a dull moment. Very boho so not a place for clean-freaks or the anal minded, great for those that want to relax and travel without having to worry about time and details. Loui the cat was so spesh!

We stayed here for a few nights before heading into south east asia. The staff here are great and the building has great character. The different levels and such are amazing. The other guests in the hostel were fine and we had a good stay here. We reccomend it if you like a good vibe - but dont care for cleanliness.

Staff were brilliant and honest. Although the place was quite noisy, it was good fun and everyone was really friendly and made effort to know everyone. Had that homely feel were you just come and go as you please, and you just treat the place like your own home. Will definately try and get room here when I come back to Malaysia :-) The only downside was the clenliness.

Rooms are like small student apartments and have no air-conditioning. After 1 night our clothes in our bags were stinking like ... and sleeping at night in our steamy room without any windows was very hot. Only the fan above our bed was making our bed feel a little more fresh but didn't help much.

The single room I was given was filthy, the sheets on the bed had bloodstains, there is no sink or mirror in the shower room, I got badly bitten by bed bugs and was kept awake till 3am by people talking in the tv room which had no soundproofing and was only separated from my room by a boarded screen not a wall. This was by far the worst hostel I have ever stayed in and somewhere to be avoided
