Great value for money. You get what you pay for. Not the cleanest of places but if you are in Melaka just for a day or two to check out the tourist spots then this is a great place. Close to all the heritage buildings and the famous Jonker Walk. The guy at the reception is very friendly and helpful.

NO COMPLIMENTARY BREAKFAST! Very dirty. No proper shower, in the toilet. Cold shower only. No water comes out if other in use. Toilet seat always dirty. No toilet paper. Have to brush teeth using tap of the toilet wall at knee level, spitting on floor. Dirty bedsheet had to ask for new one. Strong sewage smell at night coming from street. No air con so had to leave window open. Very noisy at night despite earplugs. Receptionist kept saying owner knows about issues but not doing anything about it
It's great for one night but not reccomend staying there more. It wasn't the cleanest place. Bathroom was not great at all. However the guy at recception was very accommodating and kind. He kept a few of our valued belongings in his bedroom as there are no lockers. Location is great however. Not too far from the centre area. So overall average I would say.
Maybe it is not the best hostel in the world, but the location is perfect, and also there is a kitchen and a big supermarket nearby
