Really nice hostel in a rather grubby and slightly intimidating location. I arrived alone about 10pm at one of the train stations and had a bit of a walk (20-25mins) to the hostel. Not exactly an ideal scenario so when I actually got to the Le Village it was a relief to be welcomed by friendly staff. The place has plenty of character with outside patio areas (sadly it was raining) and a bar. The free breakfast was nice (in an act of rebellion I broke the one croissant rule).

There should be a fair warning, there are not free computers/internet to use. It is 1 euro for 15minutes. I think there is a deal for wifi only, but I don't travel with a device... Location is good - It's very easy to get from CDG to Gare du Nord, then I walked to the hostel without issue... I would get the walking directions from Google maps or something rather than hostel site. Hostel has a good atmosphere, nice staff, good rooms with only 4 people each, 1 bathroom. Would recommend!

Great, especially for younger travellers. I could have done without the constant loud music in the public areas.

I would highly recommend this hostel -- it was way better than some hotels I've stayed in in the U.S. (Specifically San Francisco and D.C.) Staff was very friendly and helpful and the location was really convenient. I would stay here again. Also, it was just a warm, friendly and fun place!

Had a great time here. Just steps below the Basilique du Sacré-Cœur you can't beat the location! The rooms were pretty clean, and the terrace units have a great view and serve as a great place to drink a bottle of wine and chat about all that great places you've seen that day. I would highly recommend this hostel to anyone willing to pay the price!

The hostel was nice. The staff was rude to some of our groups. They took along time getting our room ready. It was over an hour late. The breakfast was nice. The rooms were ok. I expected better because it was rated the best hostel in Paris in a book. The internet was very slow and you had to pay for it 1 euro = 15 mins.

Had a fun atmosphere, helpful and friendly staff, breakfast was decent- rolls, a croissant, cereal, and coffee/tea. The bathroom was clean, but there was no hand soap. Beds were comfortable enough and the room was quiet... noise from the common room downstairs did not carry. The location was great. I'd definitely stay there again.

I was in a four bed dorm and our toilet room smelt of urine so bad, it was absolutely disgusting!

helpful staff, good breakfast, clean rooms, and great location and views from the room (view of sacre coeur) make this hostel well worth staying in. only improvements would be individual reading lights in rooms so that people coming in late don't need to turn on main lights. Also the electric hob/cooker was very slow/ low power and no oven, so only expect to cook very simple meals. microwave worked well though.

Great hostel. Loved that there was wifi in the rooms, refreshing change to most hostels. Lots of space for people to gather in a common area which means meeting a lot of people.

Great common areas- a upper deck as well as a pub area. The people staying were diverse, but the atmosphere was lively. Very convenient to La Sacre Coure and Anvers Metro station. The district it's in, Montmartre, is very lively and interesting.

Great neighbourhood, we had a view from our room on the Sacre Coeur. The staff was very friendly en the rooms were clean. It would be more fun if they would organise more activities like pub crawl or barnights. The breakfast was really good. I would recommend it to anyone!

Has an ordinary breakfast with bread, coffee or juice, croissant and korn flakes. Internet wifi does not work, definitely you will get irritated trying to use. The rooms also dont have a locker and the bathroom's door was not locking. But has a good kitchen and the location is good, close to the metro station and Sacre Couer.

tMy husband and I spent 4 nights in the hostel and had a nice peaceful time. Our room was very bright and icomfortable and it'd be more comfortable just by adding some hooks for the coats and a shelf in the shower for the bath stuff. The location is the best feature of this hostel: it is at the feet of the Basilique du Sacre Coeur. This makes it a gorgeous place where to stay and so we'll always have a wonderful memory of our stay in Paris, even though the croissants were not so good!

Average place, no lockers near the dorm rooms, showers were pretty ordinary and the staff weren't overly helpful. Free wifi was good though not available in the rooms.
