I stayed at Star Guest House since I was informed that Lee GuestHouse was fully booked by the time i was going to check-in. The atmosphere as you enter the hostel is not really clean. Maybe because the hostel needs to be renovated already. It also rained hard 1 night and when I went out of my room, i was surprised to see that the water entered the ground floor and it's so much wet and messy. But one thing I LIKE about the hostel, they really maintain CLEANLINESS INSIDE THE ROOM and TOILET.

Very good value for money with a good location. Helpful staff. Only thing that was a little strange was that there was no shower curtain so having a shower meant wetting the bathroom (stayed in a en suite). There is a very good and great value for money massage place next door- I would recommend a visit.

The rooms were basic and small, there is no way you could fit two people in that double bed! the pillows were too hard and there was a big gap around the door that I could see into the hallway and at night the light from the hallway shone through this. I was disappointed that there was not a communal area to meet other tourists and it would have been nice if there was a vending machine or drinks on sale.

I was happy during my stay at Lee Garden Guest House. It was about 5 minutes walk from Exit B2 Tsim Sha Tsui MTR Station to hostel. Although its size is small but clean and tidy especially hospitality of its staff.

Highly recommended as a budget option. I had a single room ensuite, the room is very small with no wardrobe and the shower is located above the toilet, it is not a proper cubicle. That being said was very clean, secure and quiet. The only issue I had was that there was an atrocious smell of sewage that erupted whenever I turned on the tap in the bathroom, which I overcame through using the shower head to wash my hands.

The hotel was very well run. It was secure and in a good location. Close to the mrt system. Fresh towels were provided each day and washed doona. Little disturbance or interaction with adjoining guests so its not a party hostel. Saw shared bathroom cleaned regularly. Downside rooms are small, (3 x 2 m). Walls are thin and traffic noise is easily heard. There is also sometimes smell of cigarettes. The elevator is small but functional. I'd stay here again.

The room was clean, and located very near to Nathan Road and TST MTR station. The bathroom was a very small, though, but we can accept that considering the price and the location.

Amazing attention and service, they spent lots of time explaining me everyting in town, gave me whatever I asked: maps, adaptor, extra blankets, always very kind and smiley. They also provided toothbrush, shampoo and conditiones, towels, and inhouse shoes. Location perfect, walking distance to every center tourist atraction, and 100 mts away from subway. amazingly clean and tidy. Dringking water, microwave, laundry, wifi for free. Cons: no "hostel environment", room very tiny. Indeedrecommended!

Like others, I was immediately transferred to Star Guest House, but had no problems with it. Just a clarification: when you get off at Park Hotel bus stop (No. 17) from airport, keep walking back down Chatham Rd. South until you get to Cameron St and then turn right. Also, returning to the airport: the A21 bus leaves stop number 3 (again in Chatham Rd South, but in opposite direction) which is close to Cameron St although it is called the Mody Road stop. As anywhere in Hong Kong, take ear plugs!

small but very clean room. unusually the bathroom was much bigger than other bathrooms i saw in chinese guest houses in HK. Unfortunately the walls are wafer-thin so you're hearing everything what's going on corridor. But "your" corridor is just connected to 4-5 rooms, so it's not too nerving :) Bed was very comfortable so I would definitely stay there again.

Without notice, they threw me to Star house, a tiny terrible and depressing place that will definitely ruin your shopping or sightseeing mood! If I could have a glimpse at the terrible room first, I will absolutely stay at the airport! Paris and Venice are also known for their high hotel price, but I stayed in the pleasant hostels with similar price. Later I check with travel agent who offers me RMB780 for L’ hotel in Nina center. The HKD600 to this place is a stupid decision. DON’T BOOK HERE!

Owner Comment (Show)
I am sorry, I do believe your review is unjustified. First, Star Guest House is our sister property, which is just across the street and the rooms quality and styles are identical. If you are unsatisfied with Star you are unsatisfied with Lee Garden. And let me inform you, Paris and Venice are definitely less expensive than Hong Kong. Hong Kong is within the top 3 most expensive cities in the world, and probably Paris and Venice are outside the top 20. And about L'Hotel, it's located at Nina Center, which is in Tsuen Wan, New Territories. However our properties are located in the downtown area of Hong Kong, Tsimshatsui, and probably one of the most expensive place in the world. You should not compare Tsuen Wan with Tsimshatsui this way, it is unfair. We are only minutes of walking distance away from all the shopping and attractions of Kowloon, however from Tsuen Wan you will need to take a 30-45 mins subway train to Tsimshatsui area first, if you are on a budget. Indeed if you go further to Shatin or Taipo there are nicer and larger hotels even cheaper than L'Hotel, but it is nonsense to compare with Tsimshatsui. I would recommend you to try Tokyo somedays, and you will get what I mean, 3 times prices of our properties and around the same size of our rooms, with a bit better decor, HK$300-400 a pop breakfast per person in the hotel. In fact you could also check out other properties in the Tsimshatsui area, we dare to say we have the best quality rooms at this price point in Tsimshatsui. It's quite an eye opening experience you could see just doorsteps from us - worth take a look. Regards, Charles Chan Assistant Manager Lee Garden Guest House
