Extremely clean and the free dinner and breakfast is amazing! The girl that runs it really loves making people comfortable. At first I thought the location was bad, away from the tourist sites, but it is 2 minutes from the central train station (the only place the two metro lines cross) making the location ideal for getting around such a spread out city. On security, while things were stolen from my room, it was the sort of theft that could happen just about anywhere - this is a Rome problem, not a hostel problem. That aside, the hostel was fun - good DVD collection - and very social, particularly at dinner time. this hostel gives you everything you need really, breakfast is great, rooms are nice and modern and clean, free pasta every night and very close to the train station. the only thing is the only common area is the kitchen, which isn't great for meeting people. Internet really sucks! (You can use only 5 hours and the system was counting wrong how many hours I was using... I tried to tell the recepcionist but she didn't believe me. When she finally found out I was telling the truth about the hours I hadn't used, they gave me more 5 hours... but there was no formal apologize for calling me a liar). Pasta Party was okay. The best thing about this hostel is the location. I stayed in the female 5-bed suite and it's roomy and clean. However, it's too close to the door that it's extremely noisy at night.
