The people in this hostel are all kind and helpful!

The place does not offer any security. The room is in the middle of a walking corridor for other places, so no privacy at all. There is just a curtain separating from other part of the house that is occupied by somebody else. The room is also full of other things that made it looked disorganized and not nice, making you feel that you are not a welcome guest. You do not feel comfortable being there. It is not value for what you pay, better go to a bed & breakfast. You will not regret it.

Hostel accommodation on Leiden is rare. This place is pretty basic but perfectly fine and very cheap if you are a no frills traveller. The location is good being nice and central and the permanent resident who is in charge is a delight and very helpful and friendly. As a 57 year old solo traveller it was a bit like being back at boarding school and made me feel very young and adaptable.

My room was in a very old apartment where a mature foreign couple lives. It was clean and neat though, but there were almost always dirty dishes in the sink. The owners of the apartment were friendly and greeted me warmly upon my arrival.
