Lemon Spirit Hostel is very highly rated here on Hostelworld for its location in the affluent Leblon neighbourhood, just off Ipanema Beach. Guests tell us 'the staff always welcome you with a big smile and a caipirinha' and create a 'relaxed, friendly and fun' atmosphere. The hostel has spacious, clean rooms and individual bathrooms. We like their outdoor area, described by one traveller as a 'cute little terrace where you have breakfast and drinks, with two hammocks'. Lemon Spirit Hostel is in a beautifully restored old heritage building situated in Leblon, one of the most beautiful and exclusive neighbourhoods in Rio.
The double rooms are for those that want privacy, comfort and the sociability of a hostel. Our nine-person dorms have triple bunk beds so its a cheaper option for those who have a daily budget.
Our many features include comfortable dorms with spacious bunks, air conditioning, individual lockers, a large first-floor common area with a bar, breakfast area, kitchen and lounge (with Internet, TV (Cable), DVD player) and an outdoor area where you can have a traditional Brazilian barbecue!
The hostels been designed with travellers in mind; its safe and comfortable and has international quality standards. The hostels various common areas allow you to meet and have fun with your fellow travellers.
Our staff are helpful and will help you have the best experience in Rio de Janeiro with useful tips, information on trips, tours and the best nightclubs and parties in town!

I think what puts us ahead of the rest is our prime location on an awesome piece of Leblon Beach, next to Ipanema, two malls, two supermarkets and bus routes going anywhere in the city.

The Botanical Gardens, just 15 minutes away by bus, are an awesome ride.
In this neighbourhood the theatres are very popular, especially on rainy days, since the films are subtitled in Portuguese instead of being dubbed. There's two movie theatres across the block and six cinemas at Shopping Leblon, three blocks from the hostel.
Personally I like to recommend a visit to Parque Lage. If a person doesn't have a deep interest in the Botanical Gardens, at the park the visitor gets a bit of the environment of nature, beyond the artistic atmosphere of the school of visual arts in a beautiful mansion that includes the excellent Cafe du Lage.
For amusement, guests mostly enjoy the beach, one block from the hostel. During the night, depending on the day of the week, they have different options, from the famous Lapa Street Party to the Favela Funk Party.
Our guests are aged between 23 and 30 years - people looking for comfort, but without losing the atmosphere of the hostel, always looking to meet new people and enjoy the maximum of what the city can offer.- Andre, Owner

I was told this is on the more expensive side for hostels, but you get what you pay for. Walking distance from the best places in rio, fun amazing people, a kind staff, and clean bathrooms and bedrooms. Can't ask for much more!

If you do not contact us in 48 hours we will contact Hostelworld cancelling your reservation. We will charge the full balance due from your credit card. If the hostel isn�t able to charge the credit cards, the hostel will contact you with other options of payment (PayPal, Money Transfer, Western Union). If you don�t send us your credit card details we will contact Hostelworld cancelling your reservation. It�s agreed that in case of Cancellation or No Show there�s no refunds.
