Great hostel in a perfectly safe location, one block from Leblon Beach! The staff are incredible and will go out with you and make sure you're alright and having the best time. The hostel is set up perfectly to socialize and meet people. Lockers are spacious to fit every size backpack. Breakfast is good and they serve fresh fruit everyday! The cleaning ladies are amazing and are non-stop working. A lovely hostel to check out more-so because of the staff! Definitely coming back.

Great hostel, with the best location in Rio. I recommend! The prices during the World Cup was very expensive!! Shame on that!

Nice hostel. Staff is ok, breakfast ok. Good atmosphere, nice bar, only a block away from the beach and in a very nice neighborhood.

It was expensive during our visit and had to block book due to the world cup. Good bar to meet everyone else at the hostel to plan a night out. The staff are really helpful, will invite you out with them or advise you on where else to go. Decent location next to the centre of Leblon and when the metro station opens this will be excellent to get around from. 2 problems: air con was out of action in my room for the entire stay and some of the showers were cold water only. Would stay here again!

Lemon Spirit is one of the best hostels in the world. Was here back in 2010 and came back for the World Cup. The place is a lot cleaner and nicer than it was then. Amazingly nice, helpful, and fun staff. Perfectly located. Hope to be back soon.

Mega clean thanks to the friendly happy cleaners who are worth befriending, never felt safer thanks to whole bag lockers Slept like a dream thanks to comfy beds. Though a bit more expensive than elsewhere the location and security make up for it, and to top it all off Natalia and Rodrigo can make sure you have the funnest time in Rio! They recommend the best days/nights and really know the people and nights that tourists want! Also, Best caipirinhas in brazil. Couldn't say whose is better...

Great atmosphere, friendly and welcoming, staff friendly and helpful beyond any reasonable expectation.. loads of fun nights out in the evenings and activities available in the day. Met loads of great people, not least the receptionist Natalia and the bartender Rodrigo who were consistently wonderful.

The staff were absolutely fantastic, helpful and there when you needed them. The only thing i was disappointed with was that we had to pay for an extra 2 nights that we didnt stay because if the minimum for the world cup even though we were staying there for a week, alot of other hostels were doing the same thing. Other than that I had an awesome time in Rio and would book at Lemon Spirit if I was to visit again.

The hostel is pretty good, very clean and comfortable, the cleaning girls were amazing, but the staff at the reception was very unfriendly, never saw something like that in a hostel!!!

Ive booked just one night and decided stay another 2. Awesome location, just 1 block from the beach! Wonderfull Staff Lucas, Rodrigo (bar Legend), Nataglia and Caspar Ciao di Italia!!! They just install key card access in all rooms. Do not miss the chance to do Hang Gliding, it was the best sensation on my life!

Hostel is in a great part of town, we had no issues going out at night. The tours were not cheap, but pretty good value and provided good guides. Having to pay to rent a towel is fair enough, but having to pay to rent a blanket was a bit rich. A clean and convenient hostel. Props to Rodrigo for being easily the friendliest staff member.

Great hostel, great staff, and excellent facilities. Everyone was very friendly, there were a lot of guided tours you could do for an additional cost, but the staff was also more than happy to provide information on those tours if you wanted to do them on your own without a guide. One of the best hostels I have ever been to, and when my stay was over I was definetly a little bummed to leave. Stayed for a full week, next time I'll make sure to book two! Oh ya, and complimentary breakfast!!!!

I had a great stay at Lemon Spirit. It was recommended by someone who knew Rio, because of its location in Leblon, maybe Rio's best neighbourhood? Very close to the beach, shops (even a brand new shopping mall a couple of blocks away) and Ipanema beach. Furthermore the staff was great, always in for a laugh or talk and very helpful. Also there's loads of activities, even though you don't need to be a party animal to feel welcome there.

While for the most part this hostels as great the man who ran the front desk was grumpy and unhelpful. He didn't really seem to know what was going on and twice gave us wrong information that we built plans off of. He cleaning staff was lovely and the other staff was awesome! The facilities were nice as well.

You could think about offering the additional service of for leaving the luggage stored for some time. That can be really helpful for travellers. Hopefully for free - or at least for low value. ;) Thanks for the nice stay!
