I loved this hostel. great people, great staff, great city. common areas very suitable to meeting people, or breaking off on your own if you want. eclectic mix of nationals. though more brazilians from outside the city come in on the weekends (not sure if that's typical in all hostels across rio). this place rules.

Lemon Spirit Hostel was awesome! Although the hostel events and tours were a little pricey, it was all well worth the money! I met great people and had an amazing time. I would definitely stay here again.

One of the best hostels i have ever been at. The staff is great and friendly. The location which is nearby the beach is perfect. Above all - the showers are super clean and fun to use. Thank you!

Fun Hostel! 1st day your there it was a party with tons of people drinking and then all going out together. The staffs Vaness, Nino, & Ana were always extremely helpful and patient no matter how weird request or questions people had or having to walk drunken travelers to their room. Definitely a plus with the beach literally a block away.

Had a blast at Lemon Spirit. My check went a bit slow, but afterwards great help from the team. Were only there for 1 night, but got the feeling that it is a great hostel, not too big, nice garden with terras and inside a meeting room/bar where you get a free welcome caipirinha and nice people. Leblon/Ipanema are the best areas to be, seem very safe and look nice with many great bars and restaurants and the beach only one block away.

Great hostel, but their policy is that all people at all times have to change rooms!

Really enjoyed our stay here, can't complain about anything really. Helpful staff, great location near the beach, friendly place to meet people, comfortable and clean rooms and bathrooms. Can arrange lots of tours and transfers which was fantastic

Lemon Spirit was a perfect hostel for the start of our backpacking trip. It was clean, the staff were friendly, good bathroom facilities and bedrooms. 2 minutes from Leblon/Ipanema beach and they organise great tours. There isn't as much nighttime atmosphere as other hostels we've stayed in and the wi-fi doesn't reach to all rooms, but those are the only two minor complaints we had.

We went only for two nights, and we didn't want to leave. The atmosphere of that place is something magical! I made friends, I've drink one of the best Caipirinhas I've ever drunk in my life! I hope I'll go back soon.

Good place with good staff, rooms a little cramped but you cant have everything. I liked the way Brazillian guests seemed very keen on getting to know international guests this was very warming.

I enjoyed a great stay at Lemon Spirit. Location is excellent, right in Leblon. Atmosphere was great, everyone was very friendly and I met some wonderful people. It's too bad I could only stay 3 days, but I would definitely come back.

It's the perfect place to stay. One block away from the beach, one block away from the main commercial road. Friendly staff, pretty clean. They could probably improve the breakfast. I stayed a total of 8 nights and they always served the same fruits, put true natural juices. But everything else was just perfect.
