Fui el año pasado y ahora en el mundial estuve nuevamente. Buen clima, zona muy segura, limpieza, todo muy bueno, para recomendar.

Great hostel, with the best location in Rio. I recommend! The prices during the World Cup was very expensive!! Shame on that!

Nice hostel. Staff is ok, breakfast ok. Good atmosphere, nice bar, only a block away from the beach and in a very nice neighborhood.

It was expensive during our visit and had to block book due to the world cup. Good bar to meet everyone else at the hostel to plan a night out. The staff are really helpful, will invite you out with them or advise you on where else to go. Decent location next to the centre of Leblon and when the metro station opens this will be excellent to get around from. 2 problems: air con was out of action in my room for the entire stay and some of the showers were cold water only. Would stay here again!

Great interaction with the staff right through from booking to checking out. The hostel is pretty clean as far as they come; there were cleaners hanging around 24/7. The lockers available are great, just make sure you bring your own padlocks with you. The bar was small but adequate, really you needed to catch a 40 min bus or taxi ride to get to some of the more vibrant nightlife in Rio. The hostel is a minute walk from the beach though which was a massive plus.

Lemon Spirit is one of the best hostels in the world. Was here back in 2010 and came back for the World Cup. The place is a lot cleaner and nicer than it was then. Amazingly nice, helpful, and fun staff. Perfectly located. Hope to be back soon.

Ese hostal a sido uno de los mejores que me e quedado en mi vida, el precio se me hizo caro por temporada del mundial pero en sí muy bien, limpio y personal excelente,

I had an enjoyable stay at this hostel the staff were helpful and the location is great being two blocks from the beach the only downside was that the bar was quite expensive and the hot water in the showers would come and go depending on the floor you were staying on.

Mega clean thanks to the friendly happy cleaners who are worth befriending, never felt safer thanks to whole bag lockers Slept like a dream thanks to comfy beds. Though a bit more expensive than elsewhere the location and security make up for it, and to top it all off Natalia and Rodrigo can make sure you have the funnest time in Rio! They recommend the best days/nights and really know the people and nights that tourists want! Also, Best caipirinhas in brazil. Couldn't say whose is better...

Great atmosphere, friendly and welcoming, staff friendly and helpful beyond any reasonable expectation.. loads of fun nights out in the evenings and activities available in the day. Met loads of great people, not least the receptionist Natalia and the bartender Rodrigo who were consistently wonderful.

The staff were absolutely fantastic, helpful and there when you needed them. The only thing i was disappointed with was that we had to pay for an extra 2 nights that we didnt stay because if the minimum for the world cup even though we were staying there for a week, alot of other hostels were doing the same thing. Other than that I had an awesome time in Rio and would book at Lemon Spirit if I was to visit again.

This is not only the best hostel in South America but possible the world. I have stayed at 60 plus hostels and this has been by far the best one!! The hostel is extremely clean and secure but the real gem is the people that run this place. You feel like you are home the minute you walk in the place and it does not end until you walk out the door. They have great day trips to see the city and help you experience the night life in a way that is very unique in Rio. Skip the other hostel in Rio...

The hostel is pretty good, very clean and comfortable, the cleaning girls were amazing, but the staff at the reception was very unfriendly, never saw something like that in a hostel!!!

Ive booked just one night and decided stay another 2. Awesome location, just 1 block from the beach! Wonderfull Staff Lucas, Rodrigo (bar Legend), Nataglia and Caspar Ciao di Italia!!! They just install key card access in all rooms. Do not miss the chance to do Hang Gliding, it was the best sensation on my life!

Hostel is in a great part of town, we had no issues going out at night. The tours were not cheap, but pretty good value and provided good guides. Having to pay to rent a towel is fair enough, but having to pay to rent a blanket was a bit rich. A clean and convenient hostel. Props to Rodrigo for being easily the friendliest staff member.
