Great hostel, a nice size that was bigh enough to have an atmosphere and meet people but not too big that it became hectic and impersonel. the staff were friendly and helpful. It was more expensive than other hostel but I am guessing it was the location, right by the beach!

One of the best hostels I've ever stayed at. A big plus are the huge lockers in the rooms and lots of additional lockers in the hallways. Bathrooms are numerous and always clean. I definitely recommend staying here!

The price it's bit high, but it pays off because of the quality of the hostel, because of the location (the most safe neighborhood in Rio and it's one block from the beach), and last but not least, because of the always helpful and fun, great staff! Sometimes the AC in the rooms could be less cold or we will feel like we're in a freezer ;) (Which means the AC works!!)

Everything about Lemon is great! There is a great common area for those traveling by themselves to meet new people. Every night and day there is a group to do something. The beach is only a block away. The front staff is very friendly and helpful. The cleaners are extremely nice and always cleaning. I can't wait to go back. Rio is amazing.

Lemon spirit is great! The strongest points are the staff (Nino and Marlene are amazing), the bar inside the hostel, the location (Leblon is the best area in Rio) and the parties & tours! As a suggestion, I think that breakfast could be better, It`s good, but the fruits were not so good and if there were a cake, would be great.

Lemon spirit is super laid back and fun. The showers are clean and the rooms have good AC. The staff was mostly friendly (except for the guy who checked us in with the side swept hair .. really stand offish and rude) and they play great music. You can pre-party there bc they have a bar and nice patio. Will definitely stay here again when in Rio.

Great party hostel that offers awesome tours. The only real complaint was the internet that didn't work half the time. Really needs to be fixed.

Leblon is nice - just as Ipanema. Good location close to the beach. Some tables and chairs outside were good - just like the bar. Rooms are a bit small, but that's the case anywhere in Rio. Everything worked well. One of the best hostels in Rio for sure. Liked it.

The location is excellent, just one block from the beach. The have free water and the breakfast is good. Unfortunately you can't bring your own alcohol and buying it in the bar is not cheap. It gets a bit hot in the little backyard.

After staying at this hostel for over a week I'm less than impressed. I chose to stay in the four bed dorm, in which there was only a cold water shower (not a big deal) and the AC did not work 95% of the time (big deal) considering there are no fans and it was 40 degrees. Several people slept in the common area because of this. When the AC did work it was turned on at night and off in the morning, so there was no chance of a daytime nap or sleeping in.

Great hostel. The location is great--safe feel and right near the beach. Currently, its a long walk to the subway which made it a little less convenient for getting around town. Also, the downgrade on the facilities was because the limited air conditioning. The A/C was only on late at night til the morning in the rooms--nothing in the lobby, hot rooms during the day.
