Felt like they where trying to squeeze every penny out of me. Overrated

Great hostel, with the best location in Rio. I recommend! The prices during the World Cup was very expensive!! Shame on that!

great staff super friendly & professional. prime location right by the beach. if you want a little more tourist insanity Copacabana is near. haven't gone to Rio yet what are you waiting for?! don't forget to drink some caipirinhas.

Nice hostel. Staff is ok, breakfast ok. Good atmosphere, nice bar, only a block away from the beach and in a very nice neighborhood.

It was expensive during our visit and had to block book due to the world cup. Good bar to meet everyone else at the hostel to plan a night out. The staff are really helpful, will invite you out with them or advise you on where else to go. Decent location next to the centre of Leblon and when the metro station opens this will be excellent to get around from. 2 problems: air con was out of action in my room for the entire stay and some of the showers were cold water only. Would stay here again!

Great interaction with the staff right through from booking to checking out. The hostel is pretty clean as far as they come; there were cleaners hanging around 24/7. The lockers available are great, just make sure you bring your own padlocks with you. The bar was small but adequate, really you needed to catch a 40 min bus or taxi ride to get to some of the more vibrant nightlife in Rio. The hostel is a minute walk from the beach though which was a massive plus.

Lemon Spirit is one of the best hostels in the world. Was here back in 2010 and came back for the World Cup. The place is a lot cleaner and nicer than it was then. Amazingly nice, helpful, and fun staff. Perfectly located. Hope to be back soon.
