This is THE place to be in Rio, the location couldn't be better (one of the safest neighbours in rio and 2 blocks from the beach), plenty of lockers (bring your lock!) and clean bathrooms available, awesome atmosphere with really nice common areas (great for meeting people even if u travel alone), and of course, the best staff you could ever wish for! thank u Rodrigo, Natalia, Lucas and Nino! Will be back soon!

Great place! Will definitely come back!!

This hostel was awesome. The beds are super comfy and the place is nice and clean. Great place to meet other backpackers but those who opt for an early night can also have a restful sleep cause it's not too loud. Staff were cool and helpful.

They only check email every 5 hours, so I was unable to get a transfer even though I started trying 24 hours before. There was no mention of this or apology when I arrived. The one guy was extremely unfriendly and didn't want to talk or even smile once. You are forced to rent a blanket if you are cold! Ridiculous. They screwed up the Favela tour. Told me I had to move rooms or pay a penalty, but wouldn't give a reason and eventually let me stay. The one girl was quite friendly. Don't recommend

Located close to the beach, plenty of lockers and bathrooms available, clean rooms with ac at night, great atmosphere, nice terrace, possibility to book activities, easy to meet people to party with, slightly too expensive (but I guess it's normal for Rio in high season).

Great bathroom facilities.

Lemon Spirit is a super nice hostel, AC in the dorms which is great and bathrooms are cleaned around the clock are there are always plenty available to use. the kitchen is well equipped and the hostel offers and organises plenty of tours and activities.1 block from Leblon beach - but a total pain to get to Lapa/centro/santa teresa area from here, but as we only went there at night to go out wasn't the biggest issue. not the biggest party hostel but would defiantly recommend to stay here!

This is a fantastic hostel. Very clean, in a safe area and easy to meet people/arrange nights out. Close to the beach and shop. Late breakfast is good and staff were always friendly and helpful.

One of the best hostel I´ve ever been. 1 block from Ipanema, one of the best beaches in Rio. Very very clean.

It was a great hostel. Very European-like. Just one block from the beach and the area is really nice as well. We wanted to go back when we got back to Rio but there was no availability :( . It has lockers to put your bags under the beds with your padlock. Really cool people!

Staff are helpful, professional and super friendly.. no language barrier which made life much easier..great location, clean and nice hostel with a character...awesome vibes :)

I had an excellent stay at the Lemon Spirit Hostel. It was very lively and social hostel. It is very easy to meet people. Simply grab a Caipirinha or beer from their bar, and sit outside in their sitting area with all the travellers. Spent many happy hours there! The staff were fantastic and very helpful, and took us out to some great places nearby. My only regret is I could not stay longer! Thanks everyone!!

Great staff, great vibes and was always clean. Only one block from Leblon beach . Highly reccomended hostel!!

Loved this hostel, in a very safe area, beach and restaurants are a stones throw away

PROS: Great atmosphere, easy to meet other travellers. Plenty of bathrooms very clean. Staff speak good English and very helpful CONS: A little pricey than most hostels in Rio. Bedrooms fairly small

The hostel is in a great location one block away from Leblon beach. The bathrooms and common areas were clean. Everyone in the hostel was friendly. The staff was hit or miss. Some people were helpful and others not so much.

Great location and very friendly staff.

Good hostel in nice area of Rio. I would stay here again.

One of the best hostels I have been to. Many hostels provide good facilities but samba green has more than that, they provide you with a home, a family. The owner Carlos and also Felipe went out of their way to take me and other people staying to places no tourists would normally see. Many activities or events put on by the hostel are usually free of charge, they are not in it to make money, just to provide a good time, and spend time with fellow travellers.

More care on the transfer service.
