The Italian man running this place is a very nice person! He was really welcoming and would even help carry my ridiculously heavy backpack up and down the flight of stairs! This place is really quite and doesn't really have a common area to hangout and meet people in...that's just the way the building is set up.. so not a place where you will be able to be super social but its a nice place to come back to after a long day of, I just didn't like how quite it was, but some might not mind:)

5 minutes walk from the city center(Duomo), and also from the train station. We arrived earlier than check-in time, but “Leonardo” was very kind to let us to our room. The room, the white linens and towels were all very clean. We shared bathroom with only one other room. There was hot water all the time. There is micro-wave, water boiler and fridge.So we saved some money by buying in supermarket or take-away, and we spent it on ice cream:)If we come again to Florence, we'll stay at Leonardo H.!

Had a great stay here for 3 nights. Leonardo, the owner, is very nice and very helpful. Steps from Piazza Santa Maria Novella, and 5-minute walk from the Duomo. Not very far from anything, really. Good cafe/bars close by. Enjoy!

Leonardo the owner is amazing at this job. Free map and tips upon arrival! There is no breakfast but it is in such a location where you can walk to so many cafes. YOu can walk to everything really! Enjoyed our stay, wanted to stay longer but had to move on!

Great hostel! Everything clean and nice. We could fell at home there. Besides, Mr. Leonardo is a really helpful and friendly guy. Explained everything on the map for us and gave us great tips. I recommend.

This was a great place to stay in Florence. I think the location could hardly have been more convenient, and Leonardo was a great host. His recommendation of Trattoria Katti was one of the best meals we had the whole trip. Our room was very clean and spacious. We also appreciated all the guidebooks and maps available.
