Les Matins Bleus was much more than I expected. With its beautiful interior design, friendly and very helpful staff it is a perfect place to stay. Breakfast is served on a terrace which is already sunny in the morning. A good advice:stay in Essaouira as long as you can! We loved it and decided to extend our stay. The place is more than beautiful and the local people friendly and open towards foreigners.

Great hostel, easy to find and yet within the medina!! Everything was thoroughly cleaned on a daily basis and there was lots of room to chill out whether it was downstairs in the lounge areas or on the roof terrace. Hostel staff spoke good English and nothing was too much to sort out, no matter what the problem was AND with no expectation of a tip at the end of it... Something that is not often stumbled upon in Morocco! Would definitely return and recommend.
Very happy with the staff

if you stay in essaouira stay in the matin bleue every things in this riad was perfect and i have my friend karin and me had the most pleasant time the peoples are extremely friendly the riad is very weel place the breakfast is great the rooms are charming and for february we also had a electric fire which you dont find in every riad i cant praise this riad enough thank you to all mrs de winton
I had a great time in this hotel, where I could enjoy the tranquility and the beauty of Essaouira. The only thing I regret is that there is no free tea whenever you want it, like in most of the hostels in Morocco.
we stay very well in this cute hotel. is in a goog position in the centre of the medina and the breakfast on the terrace was charming and very good as the dinner we had there. the staff was really cooperative and kind. as for example: one night we bought in the reception a little bottle of water and the next morning one of the staff 's guy told us that we had payed for a big one for mistake. so he asked us if we preferrered to have our money back or another bottle of water!
Samir, the proprietor, is excellent! Very friendly, willing to help out, and serves a mean breakfast on the roof-top terrace. The hotel is ideally located in the medina. Our only complaint was that the beds were somewhat damp.
..ein sehr persönlicher Empfang u. Betreuung!! Die beiden symathischen Brüder u. Cousin nehmen sich sogar Zeit für interessante Gespäche u. philosophische Gedanken.

Wonderful staff and lovely place to stay. Its a refuge of serenity in the Medina.
A really great place, full of character and in a great location. The people who run it were great fun too and couldn't have been more helpful. I'd have no hesitation staying there again.
Les Matins Bleus is one of the nnicest most characterful little hotels I stayed in. It's beautifully furnished, the staff are friendly and helpful, the breakfast with fresh orange jouice, pancake etc is worth the whole stay.Dinner was also priceworth. My single room was spacey enough, the suites and the terace rooms look lovely. It's quiet but bring earplugs as all sounds and voices can be heard around the patio. I'd be happy to return to this place!
This place is great, very relaxed and lots of little nooks and crannies to chill out in..the staff make you feel totally at home, and it is really easy to find and right in the middle of where you want to be
Great hosts and great experience. Even though it was wet and windy still loved the chilled out vibe of the town - perfect place to unwind
SUPERB location, very clean, friendly staff, nice terrace. We were beyond satisfied with our stay at Les Matins Bleu!
Hostel claimed our room was not available as it was being treated for bed bugs. However, they asked us lots of questions about where we had stayed and said our friend who arrived the previous day was covered in bedbug bites. We did not have bed bugs - when we met up with our friend she did not have them either. So we were left to find somewhere else to stay for four people at 3pm on the day. V angry at being lied to and mistreated. Ended up staying at hotel emeraude in private rooms for same $.
rooms are clean and the staff is very very friendly. but it could be a little cheaper for what it offers.
Absolutely excellent! There is not much else to say. The staff is what really made this a great place to stay, every one of them was fantastic!! The location was very central. Breakfast was great. Rooms were clean, showers warm (except once when the water turned off mysteriously...only to head downstairs and find a leak being worked on)
well located with a peaceful atmosphere, was able to get good local information on where to eat which made our stay!
it was located down a random back ally so be prepared to ask someone to help you find it. once inside i was pleasently suprised to find a lovely riad that was spotlessly clean, the staff were extremely helpful and even brewed a special tea for me and my friend when we got sick. i would stay here again any time, the breakfast on the terrace was very nice!!!
A lovely family-run french hotel, but english is spoken as well. Great location: just inside the medina but off a side street away from the street noise. The staff (2 brothers and a cousin) were so helpful and kind. The room was very nice, and we appreciated the security of leaving our room key at the front desk while we were away - no worries about losing it at the beach! The hotel was quiet and breakfast was excellent, we would definitely stay here again.
