Rooms are nice, well-maintained and clean. One nitpick: All of the interior doors have a tendency to slam shut, which makes sleeping in a bit a challenge. Not sure if that could be fixed in any way, though.

* very strange that they place a family with a very young child in a dorm bedroom.. * you could not get thee or cofee after 8.00 pm * the breakfast was very poor.. they ran out of almost everything when i got to breakfast.

Clean and neat. Some trouble with checking in (you have to be there before 8 pm). Walking distance to the city center.

One of the nicer hostels I've stayed at. Breakfast was nice, and space was well kept. They have a really nice patio and good wifi. Good showers, lockers, beds, and bathrooms. Nothing I'd change other than maybe the location. Leuven is small, but this is a couple km from the main nightlife. Nothing you can't manage with some good beer in your tum, but closer is better. I'd definitely stay here again.

Very nice hostel in a beautiful new house in in the center of Leuven.Full recomendation. Little critics: In my dorm too many beds for roomsize and no lockers. Lockers in the hall (5 € deposit). From 8pm no staff and not permitted to cook anymore. Not many atmosphere between travellers when I was there (social competent staff or resident in the evening could maybe help ?) Breakfast included and good

Positive: breakfast and free coffee, tea etc., looks nice and new (recently renovated). Negative: not 24hr reception (only reception for a short period of time, which means there is no supervision and can get noisy at night/in the morning/evening), little service (you have to make your own bed, find your way in the kitchen and building etc.). The front door was difficult to open and we're doubtful about the safety with the securitycodes.

Stayed here before and thought it was good enough to come back to! Well placed within a 5 min walk of the central areas, decent rooms, good breakfast, nice bathrooms and helpful staff.

Reception time should be extended. Its highly inconvenient for those who are unable to arrive at the times prescribed. Power sockets could be placed at more accessible points when it comes to beds placed on the top. Some cheese for breakfast would be nice.

In front of some slight problems with the room and the luggages the staff was not helpful and sometimes rude.

Everything about the experience of staying at Leuven City Hostel was fantastic. I was sent several helpful reminder/confirmation emails with information about my visit beforehand. The people are the reception desk (the owners) were exceptionally friendly and welcoming, and gave us some great local information about the area. The facility was spotless and tastefully arranged. The breakfast was delicious (fruit, fresh bread and yogurt.) All in all a wonderful experience. Would recommend!!!
