Great location, and the rooms were basic but fitted our needs. Half the staff were nice and helpful, but one guy in particular consistently let us down by promising to do a load of laundry - after two days of waiting for it he presented me with a bag of wet clothes that now stank and told me it was my fault for not reminding him to dry them, despite me asking for them repeatedly - meaning I had to carry smelly heavy clothes across turkey for 2 days. Only one gripe I know, but it spoilt things.

Very good value for money. The only negative comment I had is that occasionally the toilet paper would run out in the middle of the night, and there were no extra rolls in the toilet.

The staff were very friendly and spoke good English, but they were not ready to subtract the deposit I had already paid on Hostel World from the total amount I needed to pay. They insisted that the money goes to Hostel World and not to them.

My friend and I stayed at Levanten Hostel last minute under a promotional price and liked it so much so we stayed for the rest of our trip in Istanbul. It is very centrally located to Taksim and nightlife, and easy to find but the facilities, like the bathrooms, were pretty bare bones (no bathmat or handtowel) and the rooms didn't lock. The staff was great and kind and our 6 person room was never filled to capacity. Bonus points for having the friendliest hostel cat (that lives outside)!

everything ok, good persons at management, wifi, clean beds & rooms. Only a bit of overbooking in the same room :) and not much of hot water.

The Hostel at all is definitely worth a stay. Some But's: the mentioned kitchen is acutally there but REALLY small and i havn't seen anybody using it during my whole stay. The free Wifi didn't reach our room (2nd floor), but the friendly staff let us use their laptop in the living room for checking e-mails etc. Our stay was in december, so the room was terribly cold. But they gave us a second heater and even second blanket - still the mattress was horrible worn (you felt every sinlge feather!)

It is a really really nice place to stay! All the staff are all friendly to guests and willing to help for everything. There is a kitchen here which they cooked their meals and iTs also available to guests. You may also by chance to be lucky enough to taste some typical turkish meal here And it's really close to the Taksim square which buses from airport stopped by, it's excellent to stay here since you don't have to make any more transit to find ur place to take a comfortable rest or leaving I
