This is a great hostel the owners will go out of their way to help you (eg driving me to another hostel to borrow their friend's kindle charger!). They will help organise trips, bus journeys, flights etc and have a good level of English. It is a short walk from town in a nice quiet street. Highly recommend.
The rooms are nice and clean and the staff is very friendly. But we booked it for three nights and they wanted us to change the room every day, which was very annoying. The location is also not that good, you have to walk like 15 minutes to the center and the streets are quite dark. There are a lot cheaper hostels, that are more central. We would not come here again.
Great place with very nice stuff, just make sure you get a bigger room :)
Amazing stay...the owner was so friendly and helpful and this has to be the best place we have stayed in SE Asia. We stayed an extra night we liked it so much. Fab place, really helpful and great staff....what more could you want. Would stay again.
Well located, Mr Ming the owner is vert obliging and will help you with everything from bikes to bus tickets and tours.
Liberty guest house was great. Staff were very good. Breakfast was also good liked that we were given fruit as well as eggs. I would recommend this hostel.
A nice place to stay, the atmosphere is quite enough..

Excellent location, staff very friendly and always helpful. Would stay again and would definitely recommend to others. Breakfast was very good value, even a highlight! Very well looked after, even to the inconvenience of staff (late to breakfast and returning late at night was not a problem)
This guest. House was perfect for a extended say in Luang Prabang. Close to everything and the in house breakfast at $2 cannot be beat. The brother and sister who manage the property are what sets this stay above the competition. They are helpful and provide useful advice to maximize your stay. Price/value is one of the best. We highly recommend the Liberty Gurst House.

I’d definitely come back. The guest house is great overall, but the best part was the people who worked there – really helpful (e.g., drawing maps and giving recommendations), kind, energetic, genuine, fun. Rooms were clean, tasteful, and comfortable. The guest house is well located and not too loud. Also, the staff said they could have gotten cheaper prices for our tours/other reservations if we’d done them through the guest house rather than online. This review is not getting across how awesom
really loved this place! the managers (brother and sister) are so nice and polite. will look out for you not to get scammed and very flexible with the bookings. the rooms were super clean and breakfast delicious for 2USD. highly recommend!
Really lovely staff! Really welcoming. Very helpful when booking any excursions. Cheaper than website to book flights with them too.
Liberty is a nice hostel that looks like it has been recently redone. The rooms are small, though, and overpriced for the area. We paid 150,000 kip for a double room; in other hostels closer to the night market, we paid 100,000 for a comparable room. I would recommend not booking a room in advance as there are a ton of hostels in the area, all with openings at this time of year.
Really enjoyed my stay here. I needed a kettle for a lesson at the orphanage, and they lent me one for the day. They were really friendly and I highly recommend them. Thanks for a great stay.
Great staff - friendly, helpful and fun. Breakfast menu limited but good. Amazing town to visit.
The sibling duo were very friendly and inquisitive. They took an interest in how our stay in Luang Prabang was going, which was welcoming if not somewhat paternal. The rooms have daylight fluorescent bulbs, which feels sterile, but the overall cleanliness and value was good. Not for someone expecting the pampering Luang Prabang has become known for, but definetely a good value and worth the stay. Just don't forget to take your shoes off before going into the Lobby!
This was a very clean and pleasant stay for me. I was backpacking through Southeast Asia and have alternated between dorms and guesthouses and hotels. This is not quite a socializing guesthouse - it had a little more of a hotel feel than a hostel. The couple who ran the hostel were incredibly nice and helpful, the lady immediately sat me down upon arrival and gave me a rundown of the area, things to check out, etc. Enjoyed my stay very much and would definitely recommend it. Great quality!
