Good value budget hotel in London

Congratulations for Lidos Hotel

Enjoyed our stay very much. The private bathroom was nice to have, as well as newly remodeled. The walls are relatively thin, but that is to be expected in an old building. The continental breakfast was nice to have, but we wish they provided some fruits. The staff was nice to work with and accommodated our needs. I would recommend again.

Lack of elevator is annoying but nice place

I'm not so happy bacause they planned the maintenance works in the afternoon of my arrival, so we found a very bad smell in the room and lots of dust. I was forced to sleep in the room of my friends for the night. Fortunately the manager return our money back without saying anything and without problems... I'm sure it has been just a little mistake they don't repeat it anymore.

The Hotel is in a very good area, easy to get to, great value for money, they were in the middle of renovating, didn't affect us, the only thing was that the bed linen was very superficial, the fitted bed sheet was made from a polyester plasticky thing, and because the window frame was made out of wood, there was a draft as our bed was next to the window. Would stay there again and would recommend it, btw free breakfast and free wifi but no smoking area .All in all good stay

Friendly receptionists and clean, but a bit trashed and old. Very thin walls and a bit noisy. Quite cheap though and what you can expect at this price range + ok breakfast.

It was a pretty good hotel, but you get what you pay for. The staff were really friendly, and nothing was too much trouble for you. A new evevator was being installed while we were there and fixing up some rooms, the evevator will be a good addition. Breakfast was nothing worth writing home about but its free. It was a couple of minutes to the Pimlico station. Food and pubs are nearby. "Wicked" is just down the road too. the only gripe i have was the beds, mine had no springs left in it.

Besides the fact that the room was pretty small, for the rest it was good. Nice staff, nice buffet breakfast (without salty stuff though) and very central location (15 mins walk from buckingham palace, tate britain, 5 mins walk from victoria station). We were on the top floor...without lift, but no worries: they're building it!

Great location, clean rooms, nice stuff. only problem was they were building an elevator while having guests. Lots of noise in the morning (by the way, I complained and got some money back). So very ok if you just sleep there and you leave after breakfast.

The hotel is well localized but the room is really small and not so confortable. I think that it is expensive for the place. The recepcionist was very kind.

We loved our stay at the hotel! I believe that after construction of the elevator, will be much better! As soon as possible, we come back!
