Light House Hostel Reviews

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Lighthouse. We were warmly received by Gavin, Gregory and Erick, the friendly owner, and immediately felt at home. They do so much to make your stay enjoyable - good breakfast, tea and coffee all day, movies on huge screen, sparkling clean facilities, even band aids for blisters! We highly recommend the Lighthouse to one and all, and plan to return ourselves, probably this Autumn!

Great little hostel in a handy location with really friendly staff and a decent breakfast. The place itself is spotless and we were even provided with slippers on arrival :) Free tea and coffee and great tips on places to visit in Edinburgh. Will definitely be going back!

Great hostel. Perfect for what we needed.

Very lovely hostel! I do not see why this is rated so low? I have been in far worse hostels which are ranked higher. The place is very clean, the services provided such as free towel, storage and high speed internet makes this place just better! Also the kitchen is really nice! Lovely place and I would highly recommend it to anyone - especially if you like the calm quite atmosphere. They also have a wicked chill out room! The owner Ricky is a very down to earth guy, and so are the other two.

so rad. perfect for anyone. we came with four 21 year old males and still had a sweet time even though it was a more family orientated hostel. this was due to ricky - our host - knowing everything to do and everywhere to go that appealed to us. facilities were great - kitchen, lounge room, tv (with endless movies), computer, wifi, bathrooms - and staff were very friendly and helpful. furthermore the location was ideal, a short walk to grass market and the castle! would recommend to anyone!
