The room had a nice bathroom and the AC was very effective. The location was a one minute staircase to the water and about two minutes to the Main Street and restaurants.

Good location, relatively clean and ok bathroom. The staff were unorganised in that they took you to your room and guessed which bed was free for you to take (other guests ended up with multiple people assigned to their bed). The wifi only worked in the little office up the road. Also the male owner decided to walk into our room (2girls) at 8.30am unannounced, to remind us that we were checking out that day and that he would be back in 30mins despite check out being 10am. Creepy wake up call!!

The cleanliness of this room was fine, however there was a muck up with hostel world and we ended up being paid a lot more then what we originally thought. For $50 aus a night it was not worth it considering we shared a bathroom, no kitchen facilities, no wifi or air conditioning in our rooms and had to walk up never ending steep stairs with our bags.. The lady was not friendly when we had to pay.

The place was quite expensive for what it was. The room was ok but far from the city centre. We had to go up A LOT of stairs. By the time we were up there we were sweating and barely breathing, thankfully we were carrying backpacks and it was easier. If we had had regular suitcases we would have died. The bathroom is shared. Apart from that and the stairs it is ok just for staying one night. We wouldn't recommend it for longer stays.

Directions given are not clear,as the address has lead us to Patrizia Rooms, which i thought to be a different hostel. Thus it was very confusing and for some time i thought we were in the wrong hostel (no useful signs).Furthermore, the organisation is poor as we were first brought into a dorm where there was no more space and then had to find a different room.Talking to other backpackers they also shared our frustration and were expecting a better stay, judging by pictures on the website. Lockers?

We had a great room with a balcony overlooking the marina. We were disappointed that we had to change rooms our second night though, which meant lugging our bags back up the hill to the office to then bring them right back down to the bottom of the hill. Also, no safes for valuables.

the best thing about liljana rooms were the location, the other travellers i met and the a/c. they got different appartments without any sign outside, so no one knows that there is acutally a hostel inside ! the entrance hall that had an opened kitchen just next to it was used as a dorm, which was too weird! lockers are not provided and when i asked they said it's save here and nothing ever got stolen...

It's not exactly a hostel, more a central office that leads you to a little apartment you share with a bunch of other travelers. Thankfully I had great room mates who were considerate and kept the place clean. Lockers would have been nice.

Excellent location right next to the beach. Was a nice surprise being given a bath towel. The owner has a few apartments throughout town and some are under different names so make sure when arriving you look at the address, not for the name of the hostel. However, the main office isn't hard to find as it is on the Main Street of town. There is no wifi in the rooms but is accessible around town. Had a lovely time in Riomaggiore

The staff is unprofessional, I read reviews before that the reception and hostel are not at the same place. But the staff let me walk down from the top of hill to the bottom then climb again to where it starts, with my heavy luggage! It was ridiculous. But the room is ok, clean bed, with A/C and kitchen.

A great place to stay. The owner was very nice and helpful.

Great little spot. No wifi in our actual room but it's good to get away from the internet world. Plus you can access wifi in the main office!

Downsides: no wifi and the housekeeping staff took our personal towels to wash with hostel towels and they weren't returned. Upsides: The location was literal perfection. Our apartment had a view of the water, 1 minute walk to the marina, 10 minutes to anywhere in town and surrounded by restaurants/cafes. Staying in Riomaggiore was a highlight of my trip! Also, the manager provided us with alternative towels after losing our personal ones.

The appThe apartment was small but very nice, the location was perfect and the prize is more than acceptable considering the average cost per room in cinque terre. The woman was pretty grumpy with us but the service was good so we'd recommed it, it's worthwhile!

Liljana hostel didn't respect the quantity of bed of the dormitory (8 were expected, when i reserved). They added a ninth bed. Also, they don't really care about how many people can fit in the dormitory. At some point, we were 13. There's no wifi, and they give a very, but very small towel... The cleaning personal were changing out things of places to put it on someone else bed (and i found my luggage under and other bed than mine) It's a good place though for people who wants to party.

I really enjoyed my time in Cinque Terre. The Liljana Rooms do require you to hike up the main road in the village center where the host will then take you back down to the rooms. While the rooms are close to the beach, they do not have any sort of view. It is a great stay for backpackers, but the room I stayed in is tight and small. The kitchen facilities did not seem to be in top condition, but appeared to be quite functional for those who used them.

The wifi never worked in the rooms, but apart from that everything was good, the room was clean and the lady was very friendly. The address though is only the address of the office so I would definitely advise leaving your bags at the bottom of the hill before walking up to find it because you are just brought right back down to find your room.

Annoying that you had to climb all the way up the hill in town with luggage to get to the office...just for him to lead you all the way back to where you started (where the rooms are). NO LOCKERS/safes!!! Seems to attract a friendly, younger crowd. The mixed dorm had a kitchen and fridge, and was decently spaced.
