Its a party I hostel, but if you also value your sleep its not the place for you. The communal area is constantly filled with passed out drunk people watching constant MTV. They set a 11pm curfew my room was vibrating music until 3am. You may as well pay entry to a club and sleep in the corner. The showers only give 4 minutes hot water and then you have to wait 5 mins. The manager Noel was very rude and refused to give me a reciept and when he finally agreed he threw the recipet at me in rage

Staff were great! Really friendly, helpful and just fun. Hostel is in a good safe location. Only thing that let them down was the breakfast but it wasn't the worst I've had!

Good location in Rio close to Botofogo Metro, good atmosphere for chilling out during the day or for having a few drinks in the evening with bar crawls and few caipirinhas on offer.

Booked a private room and it wasn't cheap given the period. Less was done to keep the room clean with hair and dirt to be seen on the bed and bathroom. The room was smelly due to the lack of ventilation in the bathroom. Wifi was out of bound so had to spend some time going up and down the alley to get signal. Luckily I was only there for 2 nights otherwise it would have been unbearable staying in the room.Breakfast was basic! Don't expect much. A bit professionalism from staff will go a long way

Bathrooms and showers should be cleaned more often, bed clothes are old and lockers on the rooms don't work. Everything else was great. The staff is super cool, they make u feel welcome, caipirinha happy hour is great to meet people, and u can make new friends really easy.

Bunkbeds make so much noise when you turn around. Also the rooms aren't that clean compared to other hostels I've stayed at

So lets get one thing straight, you come to Rio to experience the unique Brazilian lifestyle. One of street caipirinhas and samba. There is no better place to base yourself than in Limetime. I stayed here over christmas and new years eve and boy did they show me a good time. I would have to say that the staff here are exceptional. They ensure that you are taken care of, whether its day tours or night parties. This is a very social hostel, so be prepared to make many friends.

I know the hostel is more set up for backpackers who what to party. But during my time there I noticed a number of people working...as was I. Loud music throughout the day isn't easy to work with. Just a suggestion that maybe the guys put a desk in somewhere quiet....upstairs maybe

Bathrooms were really disgusting, with doors that wont shut and a toilet seat broken during my entire stay. Showers were cold half the time and they're on a meter which turns itself off after 4 minutes of low pressure water. Staff generally friendly and quite keen on offering free caipirinhas, drinking games and gathering a big party group to go out to specific night clubs for every night of the week. You can expect extra attention if you're a woman.

A place for having the Brazilian beat. The evening drink time offering free caipirinha is good for the hostel guests come together if you like the drink not drunk for relaxation. The ongoing party time is solely go-as-you-please. I enjoy the stay.

Fun, proactive and helpful staff that will also take you out and try to make sure you are having fun. Very good location, close to everything. The bathrooms were often very dirty, sometimes to the point of being disgusting. All in all had a great time there.

The overbooking situation on Friday during our stay was a bit frustrating, as we had to move rooms and were asked to have just one key. As a hostel, it seems crazy that there wouldn't be enough keys for every guest. The mattresses are ridiculously uncomfortable and the beds make a lot of noise when moving around, making it difficult to sleep Breakfast was very weak. Bread and butter - that's it. This is hardly a breakfast, even by Brazilian standards. Please add some fruit or cereal.
