There is a lot of construction right now that starts early in the morning. This is my biggest complaint but there isn't a lot the hostel can do; the construction is from the building next door.

This party animal headquarters the bar is blaring music from 7;30PM -1200 & the back rooms are directly over the bar if you plan on getting sleep do not stay here . To offset that the staff is helpful too an extraordinary degree the location & security are great . But I would not come back here because there is no option for those of us who chose not to party till 1AM very night!!

Thanks for your candid comments, Rich! We are happy that you gave the highest rates for everything but for fun. I'm glad you enjoyed our staff, our location and security. But we can see now that you haven't paid attention to our description and our other reviews. We never hide the fact that we are party animals and that we have a bar with music until mid night! It's important to clarify that you knew most of our rooms are not close to the bar, and our helpful staff would be more than happy to allocate you to a different room if you had requested that. You're a great guy and we could never realize that you were being bothered (you never came down to the bar to complain, for example). Important to say that you're also not between 25-30 years old, but a lot more than that. So here's a tip, get to know what the place is like before you book it. It's easy to realize what you're getting yourself into just by reading the descriptions and reviews! Anyway, it was a pleasure having you here! Cheers! :)

I can't see why this hostel is one of the top rated in Sao Paulo. I came there after a horrible night bus and was looking forward to take a couple hours nap, but they were fumigating the place and I was basically thrown onto the street in the meanwhile. Most of the staff is very nice but unfortunately there is a rotten apple there, that I hope for that person was just a bad day...

Well, based on your comments I can see why WE ARE one of the top rated hostels in Sao Paulo. We understand how tiring a bus trip can be (but, come on, we can't be blamed for that) and most of the time we let people check in as soon as they arrive (way before check in time) if we can. But yes, that day we had a fumigation, that started after check out time. And why we did that? Because we do that every 6 months, so instead we wait for bugs to show up, we keep the place bug-free. That's for everybody's comfort and that's why we have the lowest bed bugs occurence rates in Brazil. I'm sure you were not thrown onto the streets, since we have a large patio outside, were most people hanged out that day waiting for the smell to fade away. I'm sorry you feel that way, but we would do it all over again, if necessary! It's for the greater good!

I only stayed here one night so hard to judge, the room I was in only had one of the ceiling fans working so it was very hot, I did mention it to the staff but nothing was done about it

Thanks for your rating! The room you were staying at has two fans and that night you came to us and said one of them was not working. We don't have an in-house electrician (and I assume not many hostels do), so there was not much we could do right away. We scheduled the guy to come next day to fix it, as he did! Not only, they are both more powerful now! :)

The hostel is in an excellent location, very near to the metro stations and pretty close to downtown. The staff is very kind and the facilities are always clean. There are lockers but not big enough.

Very clean hostel with friendly staff and really close to the subway station. They also give a free caipirinha every night (if you don't know what a caipirinha is, google it), and the wi fi connection is really fast compared to other hostels we've stayed in. Highly recommended!

I've been to several countries in south america and I've stayed at at least twenty different hostels, and i can tell you this is one of the best! really nice staff! they took us out to party, offered free caipirinhas... really had fun in sao paulo. i can't wait to get back there!

The good thing about this hostel is the location. Not the best hostel in terms of vibe nor the cleanliness. The party vibe in the hostel is not there although they brand themselves as a party hostel (and they do take the guests out for party ever night). The staffs (mainly the girls) at the reception are not friendly and are very cold and moody. There are many areas need to be improved in the hostel!

Wow! I'm pretty shocked about your review. Not a party hostel? We have a bar open every night, free caipirinhas to get people to socialize and meet each other, and as YOU pointed out, we DO take people out every night, and the vibe is not there? If some of the guests didn't take advantage of that, it's not our fault. The staff is not friendly? Let me remind you that your card was not working and you couldn't take money out and what we did? We went to the supermarket next door to buy tons of beers to the hostel (for a higher price than we normally pay from our distributor) so you could pay it with your credit card and we could give you CASH! You even stayed less nights than booked before and you got MORE CASH as a refund! Wanna talk about the cleanliness, fine. We are not the cleanest hostel neither we are the dirtiest one, but you cannot say the vibe is not there and the staff is bad! Honestly, this is a very unfair review and it really hurts.

Lively, fun, noisy hostel. Come here to party, go dancing, drink, and have fun. Don't come here expecting to get a lot of sleep. The staff is chill and the hostel is clean, it's well located near two metro stops, and there's always people coming in and out so it's easy to make new friends. The "bar" isn't much of a bar, as it's open for about 30 minutes each night while everyone pours in for their free caipirinha. Also, the computers were pretty slow, but adequate. Overall, very good.

Thats for a great review. You got the spirit! :) Just to clarify, the bar is open every day from 7pm til mid night. You were here when there was a group of brazilians, and they are not the most social people when staying in hostels, so they come down, grab the caipirinhas and leave. But the bar is always open with people! :)

I was here for just over 2 weeks. I've stayed in dozens of hostels all over the world and, believe me, this is an excellent one. The staff are very friendly and helpful, the hostel is clean and the location is great; just a stone's throw from Paulista Avenue and several metro stations. The resident dog is crazy but in a good way.

I stayed in LimeTime hostel two times. The first one for five nights and second one for four nights. Bebeto, Perez, Raissa, Lais, Igor: that's the terrific staff you are gonna meet here. This is the cleanest hostel I have ever seen during my trips and it is well located (close to blue and green subway). I'd definitely recommend it to anyone.

This hostel was only ok. We emailed in advance and they told us that they had a travel desk and could book buses for us. When we got there they didn't. They told us it was find to go to the bus station and get the ticket just before the bus departs but when we got up early and went the bus was already full. We could have arranged the bus the day before if they hadn't misguided us. We had to wait 5 hours in the bus station-very frustrating. Bathrooms not v clean and dirty dishes left in our dorm.

Thanks for your comments. Our reception staff knows all about traveling in Brazil, but you were never told (not even thru the email) that we could book you tickets. You've been told that you could get your tickets 1 hour before departure. Your bus was at 8am, and you left the hostel at 7am... Then we can't guarantee... About the dishes, it's a rule that guests shouldn't eat in the rooms, but we can't keep track of everybody, neither we can go into the rooms all the time to check if there are plates. We clean the rooms every day, but not every hour...

We had a brilliant time here - the showers are hot, the staff are friendly and fun, they went out of their way to show us the best bits of sao paulo and we would recommend this hostel to anyone who wants a good time in sao paulo, especially on the weekend. And the caipirinha making and drinking lessons were also appreciated!

One evening someone from staff threw my brother's stuff away from 'his' bed and gave it to someone else. We had paid and another staff had given my brother the specific bed. This is very unprofessional and the staff who did it appeared angry and did not examine the matter first. He seemed not to understand that this was an unpleasant and uncomfortable experience for my brother: that was the main problem. We were also told to finish our breakfast half an hour before the breakfast was over.

Owner Comment (Show)
Thanks for your comments. Your brother's stuff was laying around on an empty bed, not his bed. We had more people coming, and we simply took the stuff from that bed and put on the table in the room. Nothing was taken from your brother, simply moved to a place where you could see it, and we could accomodate the new guest that had just arrived. We simply don't understand when you guys snapped and acted extremely arrogant towards our staff member. And the situation with breakfast is very akward, as we would never do that. Also, thanks for mentioning that you forgot your flash drive here and we tried to send it back to you or even email the files... Can't really see how we are a bad staff... Anyway, cant please everyone! Cheers!

Cold no blankets on bed had to ask for them, cold showers and rude staff who were cleaning around us while we were eating!

Well, blankets are provided as asked for. Not everybody has the need for it, and we wanna keep the blankets clean instead of leaving them hanging around the rooms. I would be disappointed if the hostel didnt provide them at all, which is not the case. All our showers are hot. Some of them actually too hot. They are electrical so some people don't know how to use them. I've seen that the other place you booked on Hostelworld was a Resort, so maybe hostels are not exactly for you! Sorry if you didn't have a good time here. We try our best!
