I would recommend the Lino Family House for anyone who is travelling in Peru or staying a longer time in Lima for studies or work. The family is very friendly and nice, and they make you feel welcome. San Borja is a nice and safe neighborhood, and there are cafes and restaurants, a gym, a supermarket and a shopping mall nearby. I enjoyed my stay a lot.

Quiet atmosphere in a not very central part of town. There is no breakfast provided here unlike many other places to stay. Very little English is spoken so take that into account.
Really nice family, close to bus station but taxi ride to beach
This was more like student rooms above a house than a hostel. The location was great for a long "layover" between Cruz del Sur - near supermarkets, restaurants and shops to resupply in the middle of our trip. We don't Spanish well so it was hard to communicate with most of the family members but it was a very comfortable stay and I would recommend it to friends as a good place in the middle of a trip (not necessarily as a place to sight-see from)
