Only stayed for a night when passing through Lima, so didn't want a place right in the centre but close to the Cruz del Sur/Civa bus terminals. Good hostel rooms, very spacious double bed with shower, though the water pressure for the shower would die completely if you used the sink as well, soon returned. To our surprise breakfast isn't included, which it incorrectly says in the 'facilities' list, but liquid breakfast tea/coffee is. Kitchen area good for DIY cooking, close to huge supermarket.
Nice family based hostel/hotel. It isn't close to anything except a big mall which was great after 6 months of travelling in South America. Room was ok but not as clean as expected. Bathroom wasn't cleaned on Sunday but it was Peruvian National Day. Family was friendly and helpful and we even could use their kitchen.
Good location near restaurants and supermarkets and malls. Not close to the tourist sites or ocean but only 7-8 soles to go by taxi and not too long at the right time. Rooms are good, bathrooms are usually good, sometimes the water is really low but it comes back. Internet works, good place to stay if you don't mind being a bit out of the center
Half way between town center and miraflores. You have a supermarket at 5 minutes walking. Nice and helpful staff. Room okay.
I would recommend the Lino Family House for anyone who is travelling in Peru or staying a longer time in Lima for studies or work. The family is very friendly and nice, and they make you feel welcome. San Borja is a nice and safe neighborhood, and there are cafes and restaurants, a gym, a supermarket and a shopping mall nearby. I enjoyed my stay a lot.

Quiet atmosphere in a not very central part of town. There is no breakfast provided here unlike many other places to stay. Very little English is spoken so take that into account.
