Good Location, more a Hotel than a Hostel. Wifi was pretty good, the Gentleman at the front (Wilmer) was really helpfull however the other staff were abismal. Disapointing breakfast and really cold rooms.
Good location, close to the witches markets, shops and restaurants, staff weren't very friendly, we asked 3 times for them to fix the hot water, and no one ever did, we had cold showers for 3 days, they also were going to kick us out on arrival as we didn't have enough money to pay upfront. No one spoke any English.
okay to spend a night at. we were in a room with no windows. a bit dark. good location
I couldn't believe how rude and unhelpful staff were. We booked a private room with a double bed on hostelworld, but when we arrived the lady at the counter said that they only had twin rooms, I explained to her that I had booked so there must be one free. She said she didn't understand, despite speaking very good English. She kept on giving us the room to twin rooms, until the third time where she finally gave us a double. Breakfast was one stale roll. Would definitely not recommend!
Stayed 4 nights at lion palace. The location is perfect, staff are very friendly and helpful, rooms are large and clean. There is little to no hot water, unreliable wifi, and breakfast is not much. But at the low price some of these things are to be expected, and overall the lion palace is excellent value for money.
Cheap and good value for money although if you are looking for a party hostel then this is not for you. More like a hotel. The location is very close to the Witches Market. Showers are sometimes hot.
