Lions hostel is a basic hostel but it does have a kitchen you can use. 5 min walk to the port to catch the ferry so good location. Owner super friendly and helpful. Only negatives is the mattresses are super thin so it's like sleeping on wood. It was clean and had some small lockers

Stayed here for one night before taking the ferry to Ilha Grande. Only 5min from the docks where all the different boats depart. Staff was friendly and eager to help and answer questions, decent in english. The beds were terrible, surprised we survived the night. 1cm thick mattresses. Terrible smell at the bathroom. Only one bathroom for all guests. No breakfast.

A basic hostel. Just what you need to make the crossing to Ilha Grande the next day. They bunk beds could have been better though
