Very bad impression. First, no one wuold answer the phone # provided by HW. Upon arrival, they did'nt knew anything about the reserve and handed me a piece of paper with phone #s to call the "boss", that "was out". Suspecting this, plus the strong tobacco smell in the house (smoking in public closed places is forbidden in Portugal) I asked to look ay the hostel. I believe clients were mostly immigrants living there full time, and not a friendly setting. I just had to quit staying there.

We had a problem to find this hostel as there is no sign on the street at all. The staff was OK and the hostel was clean.

Only there for the night as I was off to the airport in the morning. But it served our needs for this purpose. The staff were friendly enough and the place seemed bright and cheerful.

Enjoyed the stay, it was very clean, and it was easy to find. However, during the night it was very loud outside, with the rubbish collection

A nice clean and friendly hostel in which I enjoyed a pleasent stay. About a 20 minute walk from town centre being the only negative aspect. All and all a more than decent hostel which I would reccomend to other travellers

All the staff were very helpful, the facilities reliable as advertised, lockers and two fridges but a second cooker would be usefull when it is busy. The hostel was clean and comfy. I miss the laughter and smiles, I miss Benedicta. Local transport access was excellent for old city, art galleries and beaches. Lisbon is a poem of amazing contrasts, refreshingly quiet with beautiful hilly views, good people and fado. A depois do Adeus? I will not forget you, you have my email. I hope we meet again.
