Adorable hostel that exceeds the average hostel standards and provides truly a fantastic experience for people who stay there. From the dynamic staff who are individually interesting characters with their own passions and collectively helpful and knowledgeable, to the fact that there are (paid and unpaid) organized tours and (paid) dinners prepared by a cook. The Lisbon Poet's Hostel was such a great experience that I didn't even think to be upset when my room key stopped working a few times.

I really liked the hostel, especially because the staff was very friendly and helpful and the rooms very stylish. Unfortunately it was very loud at night because the communal room was right across the hall. Also it was pretty cold in Lisbon during my stay and the heating in the rooms couldn't really make up for it - so it was always a bit chilly. The breakfast on offer was healthy and filling. Overall: I liked it very much and met some very interesting people there.

The hostel is very good. Perfectly recommended. The staff is very cordial. If I go to Lisbon (hopefully), sure I'd stay there. The only suggestion is that the showers are a little uncomfortable, but it is a lesser inconvinient.

I love the communal dinner! The staff are very good and friendly. I like the set-up, you get to read a lot of books or just while away the time in their common room.

Love this hostel so much! Located in the center of Lisbon, the hostel is very convenient for going out to any place. And just look down from the window in the common room, you can see the street Chiago, with the famous statu in the middle. Nice common room, nice staffs, warm deceration in sleeping room and very clean. Perfect!

I loved this place! Not only because I love poetry and arts, but also because I have stayed in many youth hostels before, and this one indeed is a great place! They even provide daily-baked-Portugese-style cake :)

Very, very nice staff. Really helpful with directions and suggestions. Cleanliness in both locations is unsurpassed by other hostels I've ever been to. Such a relief to make it to either of the Poet's after traveling through other hostels that could never compare. I'm a huge fan.

This hostel was excellent. There was a huge communal area with comfy bean bags and cool decor touches. The staff were really welcoming. I would definitely recommend their evening meals which are tasty and a bargain.

All is realy perfect in the hostel, however, if you are sensitive, be careful not to forget your earplugs because the hostel is in a lively part of the city.
