Horrible experience. One of the worst hostels I have been to. Found dead bed bugs. The staff were not helpful AT all. 6 bed dorm was absolutely tiny, no where to put anything. We ended up moving hostels after a couple of days as we couldn't handle it.

We found bed bugs under our bed. The staffs response was "we'll at least they're dead now" and said they couldn't help us. We stayed in a 6 bed dorm and it was absolutely tiny. There was only room for 2 of us at a time to open our bags. The staff were not friendly or helpful at all. Often no toilet paper and one of the showers was blocked. Also no atmosphere even in the "chill out" room. Only positive is it was quite close to town - oh and the day we left was also a positive experience.

We stayed in the Lisbon Soul Hostel for four days. We had a really good time. The staff was really friendly and availlable 24/7. The house is an old building, but still the rooms are very clean. The hostel is nearby the sightseeings of Alfama and next to a tramstop and 10 minutes walk from the metro. We would come back anytime!

super chilly living room, fully equipped kitchen.

For me it was a perfect hostel. I would really recommed it to everybody who is looking for a nice, clean hostel, which is located in the city center!

I was deeply disappointed, that on booking an en-suite appt for 3 Nights, just before we arrived I received an email saying there was an error, and we only had the private en-suite appt for one Night. We stayed in a small twin room with a shared bathroom for the other 2 Nights. I should have demanded what we booked, but I voiced my displeasure and accepted this very shoddy treatment. It was a very unprofessional thing to do to us. William Kingston

Location is so good to walk around Alfama area. And cheap... but staff.. was not friendly just said check a map. or don't know.. It may probably depend on staff..

Nice quiet little hostel. Would have been nice if the kitchen had a few more utensils.

A little loud as expected by a hostel, nut it was clean, centrally located and had a great kitchen/living area.

One of the best hostels you'll ever stay in - definitely worth the steep walk uphill from the metro. Comfortable beds, friendly staff, cool vibe, all in a really nice old apartment building just metres from the Castle.

I thought the location was really great! It's at a central location and only a 10-15 min walk away from many main sites. The staff was so friendly and VERY helpful with advice on which places to see and instructing you on how to get there. Towels are included and they have many bathrooms with pretty big showers. The room was neat and clean, and it was inexpensive too! Overall, would definitely recommend staying here!

Excellent value for money, great location, friendly staff, easy laid back atmosphere

We stayed for 1 night in the apartment which is located 2mins away from the hostel in the middle of Alfama district. The apartment was really nice with a clean bathroom, kitchen and even washing machine. It is located on the ground floor so it is not very light but we were not there during the day anyway. The (sofa) bed was not extremely comfortable but for 1 night it was ok. Also the floor in the apartment was quite dirty. The location is good but there is not much going on in Alfama at night.

great great hostel! amazing what you get for that price, but if you do not want to sweat for 30 min, take a cab or get out downtown at the Metro- Station and take the tram up, cause walking up that hill with tons of stairs and small confusing paths is tricky and exhausting
