Excellent hostel in a very beautiful neighbourhood of Lisbon. Great atmosphere and really cheap. I really enjoyed the nights in the common kitchen where we hung out together with other travellers singing and dining all together. Sometimes there was a problem with the wifi (bad connection), but overall I totally recommend staying there.

Close to everything in Lisbon. Friendly staff and nice people. Security boxes were not all that secure. Seems to be lots of permanent residents which is cool because you get to know the city more.

Overall it was a nice stay for a hostel. Good location in Alfama and staff was very helpful and welcoming. Complaints would be the wifi wasn't working most of the time and the "secure" lockers aren't very secure and you must bring your own lock.

Really good hostel. Warren Cahill was staying there. He is a great musician. You can follow him on instagram and twitter (#ratontheroof). He also has a facebook page and bandcamp, where you can purchase some of his music. He has a very innovative style of guitar playing. And his songs are great for a sunset. In fact, you can find him playing most afternoons at the viewpoint just down the hill from this hostel. He's a really nice guy too. If you're lucky, maybe you'll hook up with him on tinder!

Great value. Located in possibly the coolest part of Lisbon. Rooms are good. Not a party hostel (which I loved about it). Good, simple lounge area. Kitchen can get a bit crammed, but otherwise not bad. Great restaurant next door, Marcelinos. Would definitely stay again.

It's a nice hostel with a bohemian feel. However there is a damp problem on walls with mould in rooms.Toilets paper seemed to be an issue finding. No heating in dorm rooms in winter. But this seems to be a Portugal thing.

I thought this hostel was extremely cool because it was family owned and operated! Super cool staff, warm and cozy environment! It felt like I was staying at a friends house more than a hostel! It was like one big family. Will definitely return for longer next time.
