Terrific hostel - the staff was the definitely the best I have encountered in a long time. Tony set up 1/2 of my trip in Vietnam -plane tickets, train tickets, hostels stays, you name it. He has panache and great advice. The food was excellent with a free breakfast in the morning and fantastic coffee. The only problem was I ran out of hot water during a desperately needed shower the first day. I recommend this place without hesitation.

My first hostel stay ever. Everything was better than expected. They helped me book a Ha Long Bay tour and arranged my taxi to the airport, everything was on time and professional. My last two nights there they did overbook the hostel, but they put me up in a nicer-more expensive-in a better location hotel. Can't go wrong here

I stayed in a private room and it was really nice and clean. The staff were very polite and really helpful they definitely went a little further than most places would to accommodate you. I only stayed they're for one night before I left the country and I was late getting up but the man insisted I take some breakfast and within seconds I had and omelet baguette for the cab. I would definitely recommend the place to people traveling in groups.

Hard work, genuine sense of hospitality and free coffe anytime make a big difference guys! Tony, Kim and especially Garrick from Canada are always there for you making sure you have anything you need. They sell the tours but not the sun and the weather especially in winter...Suggestion: just pay more attention when offering tours range and prices, which beeing a third part might create some misunderstandings between the guest and the hostel staff. Best place in Vietnam to stay so far...Bravi!

They had me at their opening words of welcome, would you like a cup of tea! It was the best cuppa in Vietnam. Everyone was very friendly, extremely helpful and the whole place had a lovely atmosphere. Definitely Not a party place ,just a good mix interesting people of all ages and nationalities , lovely rooms and great service. it was recommended to me by a friend who had stayed there and I will certainly do the same.

The staff were amazing and so helpful, they also offer the best free coffee in Vietnam and fresh fruit all day. After doing a tour and an overnight train they let us coming back and take a shower as well. I would definitely come back to this place next time I am in Hanoi.

We actually stayed at Little Hanoi Hostel 2, as 1 was full when we arrived. But they were very hospitable and provided free transport for us to their sister hostel. The located of LH2 was fantastic, right by Hoan Kiem Lake, but in an alleyway, so it was quiet. Breakfasts were tasty. Staff was helpful, answering all of our questions and speaking pretty good English.

Great value for money. Nice place in a good location, very clean, very helpful and keen staff, good services. We had a good time here, nice room and clean room with fresh fruit every day. Always offered free tea, coffee or soft drink. Shame that airport pick up never arrived but we have been offered a lot of extras to make it all up. I would defo recommend.

Probably the best place i've stayed in after over 12 weeks in SE Asia. It wasn't cheap at 22 US dollars a night for a single room but with the free breakfast, internet and all the little extras here, its definitely value for money and you're not going to get a room for much less in the area anyway. The staff here were the best i've met in any hotel anywhere in the world. Very helpful and friendly, they all spoke good english and were genuinely nice people. Highly recommended.

Excellent and friendly service. Clean rooms, breakfast included. They even reimbursed me money for the taxi ride from the airport since due to miscommunication I was unable to locate their shuttle service. Highly recommended, and will stay again next time I'm in hanoi. If you want to participate in tours, then this hostel offers all available opportunities. They will also organise your travel back to the train station free of charge. Overall, I can't fault anything about this place.

Friendly and helpful staff. They weren't pushy with tours etc with us. Various choices for breakfast. Showers were hot and I could borrow a hair dryer. The room was clean and smart, with cable tv and fridge. Luggage storage area wasn't locked or watched, but was past the front desk. Daily housekeeping and fruit or little cakes each day. I would stay here again.

Fantastic hostel with wonderful staff who go out of their way to assist you. They arranged our tour to Halong Bay, as well as train tickets to and accommodation in Sapa. Our room was large, clean and had a really comfy bed. Would definately recommend.

We were locked in the Little Hanoi because the automatic door didn't work. And there is no other door or even window for us to get out of the hotel! What if the house catches fire?? Then they put ladders for us to help us get out of the hotel on the 2nd floor...Fortunately, a girl kicked the automatic door hardly and it opened. A man called a taxi for us and talked with the taxi driver. When we arrived at Sinh Tourist, the meter showed 26KVND but the driver asked for 70KVND!

Thank you to Tony and Kim. We loved our stay at this hostel. The staff at the front desk is willing to help you with whatever you need. My friend left her sweater at the front when we were leaving for the airport, and the hostel actually sent it to her in a taxi that was going to the airport after us. They go out of their way to make sure you are having a great time. Everyday a person comes in and cleans your room. This is almost like a hotel except for the price. The food is also delicious.

I cannot speak highly enough of the wonderful staff at Little Hanoi. They are kind and generous hosts, who provide a friendly welcome and really look after their guests. Extras include travel advice, bookings, tickets, taxis arranged, luggage stored, showers and food between tours. A real home away from home.

Brilliant staff, even offered to let us 'hang around' for the day waiting for the night train after getting off the Sapa train that morning :) Breakfast excellent . Our 6 kids (6-16) thought this was the best place we stayed at in Vietnam Thanks Tony xx
