We only stayed in Little Hanoi hostel for one night but the services we received was impeccable. Kim and David were the most attentive staff we could have hoped for; they booked a highly successful homestay trip for us in Sapa and booked buses for us to Cat Ba Island. On our way back from Sapa they allowed us to rest and use the shower and breakfast facilities at the hostel even we arrived at 5am and were not staying another night! Could not have asked for a better introduction to Vietnam!
Kim at the front desk is the best thing to happen to hostels/hotels. Knowledgeable, helpful, friendly, and beautiful. Breakfast is plentiful; basically all you can eat. Fruits and coffee and tea available all day. Beds quite comfortable. Hot showers. Big lockers in the dorm. Dorm is small.Fine tours available, but no pressure. Rooms cleaned thoroughly every day. Internet wasn't the best, and FB desktop and laptop versions are censored by their internet provider. The mobile version is not (yet).
The rooms were comfortable and secure. It was nice that fruit and tea/ coffee were available and free but there was no free filtered water. The location was convenient. Overall I would recommend.
More of a small hotel than a hostel, with no real opportunity for the social side of things. That said, it's a nice place and the staff were always happy to help, including making up our room at 9am after we arrived early. A bit of a walk to the main sights but only 10-15 mins.
This is a decent choice of place to stay in Hanoi. The beds are comfortable and the rooms are pretty clean and the breakfast is really good. The staff obviously work hard and a generally friendly but they are too busy for the number of clients that they deal with. Often they are too busy to listen properly to what you are staying to them and make mistakes. We had to wait for 1.5 hours at one point to be told that they didn't have the dorm bed that we requested. 2 receptionists would be better.
Overall a good stay however they do not provide a top sheet or duvet cover on the bed and the showers get cold fast and have no pressure at all. Breakfast is good, staff are friendly but there is no atmosphere at all due to the lack of a common area (it is actually a hotel, not a hostel). Overall it is good value for money.
Right in the center of Hanoi. The staff was extremely helpful, organizing the trip in halong bay at the last minute. Rooms aren't unforgettable but comfy enough for the price and clean.
Extremely welcoming and friendly staff. Great location, free breakfast, socket by each bed and good atmosphere. Stayed for four nights and met some great people.
Double room was large but shower head got the entire washroom wet even with a curtain. Breakfast was good. But this wasn't really a hostel environment, not many people socializing in their common space. That being said, their staff, mainly the lady who spoke excellent English was fantastic. She helped us book our tours and flights quickly.
Mo like hotel than a hostel, would definitely stay again
Great hostel with very helpful staff, would highly recommend

the staff was friendly and helpful. they gave good suggestions about places to eat at and to visit. the halong bay cruise booked through them was comfortable
Great location. Stayed on the first floor dorm which the door couldn't be locked, but at least there were large lockers to put stuff. Couldn't get wifi reception in the room which was a pain but the staff were quite friendly. The breakfast is quite good too.
Wonderful staff, nice place. Highly recommended.
We stayed 5-6 nights in Little Hanoi Hostel, from which we visited Halong Bay, Mai Chau village and the parfume pagoda. Everything was great : clean and cosy room, fruit and tea avalable at every time in the lobby, one locker in the room, breakfast included. The staff was also really nice (especially one lady who cared about the gests like a mum), answering to our many questions at every hour day/night. During our nights out of the hotel, they kept our luggage until we came back. Recommended!

Very helpful staff kim and dave can suggest restaurants and book tours for you.
The traditionnal vietnamese old deco can turn some people off, but what makes this hostel is its personnal. Friendly and always enclined to help! I have travelled a lot and really they take it charge everything, booked our flight ticket and got it at a cheaper price than announced on kayak, helped us find another tour for halong bay in 2 minutes because ours had been canceled, etc. Breakfast is good and you get free fruits all day! I would recommand this hostel anytime.
We really love our stay and we definitely recommend it to our friends. The room was clean, breakfast was good and the staff were very accommodating. :)

Staff were very friendly and helpfull, breakfast was included which was great! Feels more like a hotel than a hostel. We weren't told that the hostel closes at 12 so we were locked out and had to wake someone up to let us in. Good place to stay!
