This hostel is perfectly situated just a 20 second walk from a free public beach, and the staff were friendly and knowledgeable about the surrounding area, and any travel concerns we had etc. Also, the sheer size of the building allows this hostel to have amazing facilities, such as a cinema room, ping pong and an in-house bar. Plus, the free breakfast was delicious! I would absolutely stay here again.

This hostel is located at the seaside in Ostia, a great place to flee Rome and have some peace (it\'s 40 minutes away by train). The building used to be an early 20 century boarding school, it has large hallways and high ceilings. There are 130 rooms. Free breakfast at will. The facilities are very clean, but the tv in my dorm room didn\'t work, and nobody woke me up in the morning even though I asked. Ostia is close to Fiumicino airport, the Cotral bus to get me there was late!

It will be just wonderfull if the hostel could have a few bikes, because it is a very nice and easy place to bicycle... They should advertise the Ostia Antica ruins just a few train station from there, such a beauty place...

very nice hostel. a bit far from the city center but it was nice to go to the beach after exporing rome. some of the staff were kinda rude but it wasnt as bad as some of my hostels. breakfast was pretty good. nice selection, the coffee wasnt the best but some sugar helped. the directions to get there were not very helpful. very clean. very nice value if you dont mind being kinda far from the city.

I really liked this hostel for Rome, even though it's not exactly close to the center (it's about 30/40 mins away) but it is right by the sea! Loved that, even though I came when it was raining so much.. definitely still would go back. The staff was great. They had a bar but not really a kitchen though so that might matter to some.

Only complaints are that it was about an hour away from the city center via public transport (1 1/2 hours on one day we were there, but that was Easter Monday) and there was a 10 a.m.-2 p.m. lockout that we didn't know about until we got there. Also, I wish there were locks on the locker doors in the rooms. Otherwise it was a clean hostel, being by the beach was nice and the free breakfast was great.

I'm not a picky person when I travel, so this place was just average for me. The internet only worked downstairs. individual beds and not bunk beds but I was really cold! The staff cleaned the bathrooms and made the beds each day, which was nice. Breakfast is included. The hostel is about an hour (by metro) outside the city center, which was easy, but be budget that into your timeframe. Not really palace to meet people, a bit eerie, but if you're out and about and not inside...you should be fine

Our room was covered in dust and squished bugs, but we also had an ocean front view so it's pretty hard to complain. The building was amazing, too. Not sure what it used to be (hospital? military dorm?), but it's enormous! Extremely cool. If you want to escape from Rome for a day or two at the beach, this is the place. Just be prepared for cold, dirty-ish rooms.

I really enjoyed staying here. It was a short 30 minute bus drive from the airport. It was right off of the beach (we could see the water from our window). It was a short walk to lots of different restaurants. They had all sorts of recreational things at the hostel including pool, ping pong, games, books, and a movie room. Beds were comfy (which is the most important part).

It was a bit of a ghost town while I was there because the place is so huge and there weren't many people staying there cuz it was winter but the people that I did meet there were awesome and we had tons of fun. I imagine in summmer it would be quite a party there.
