I really liked staying in this hostel. Altough I arrived way before check in time they gave me a bed as soon as is was cleaned. I was allowed to join the basic but good breakfast. They have 2 computers with good working internet and wifi in all the rooms. Rooms are nice and clean. Staff is really friendly and helpfull and the whole area felt pretty safe. Its a 15 to 20 minute walk into town.

I wouldn't recommend to stay long in Montevideo but if you're going there that's definitely the place to go. Good place, chilled with good facilities and great staff !

Great place to stay. Its a little walk from everything but not to far. The back yard is a great place to hang out and make some new friends before heading to the bars.

The owner of this hostel is a really nice woman but its not the greatest to be honest. I stayed in a 12 bed dorm and it was pretty grotty, dimly lit and densely packed, though the sheets were clean. The lockers were broken and there was only one toilet/ bathroom between the lot of us. The dorm also has a window out onto the courtyard and people were partying hard until 4am so it was pretty difficult to sleep, though I have really good earplugs. There are better places in MVD, not recommended

I had a great time at Live MVD Hostel. The staff is great, friendly, helpful, the two women that own the place are all the time around and willing to help, give advice and share a good time with you. Location is great, near many attractions, there are many bus connections to get to these places. It´s located 5/6 blocks from the river where it is already permitted to get in the water.

This is a great hostel, the two girls that run it lterally could not have been more helpful. The breakfast is great (homemade bread) the dorms nice and dark and its got a great homely/bohemian feel to it. 10 out of 10!

the staff are exceptional and assist in every way possible, lot's of travelers but most from latin america, the language barrier can be frustrating for those who don't speak spanish. small, small kitchen, one toaster for everyone which can be difficult since breakfast is mainly toast and cereal,it's clean and a short walk from what to see and do.it can be noisy with the young people so bring ear plugs and night shades if you care to sleep, overall it's a wonderful hostel.

Only stayed for one night and our private double room was a 4 bunk dorm! Despite this a very friendly place to stay.

They used comforters as sheets, which could be fine but I doubt they wash comforters after each use. And if they do it`s a large waste of water

I really liked the hostel and the staff. Really cool vibe and nice kitchen. Everything was fantastic. The only thing I didn't love was the location. It was well-located but the area of town is a little sketchy and at night I felt a bit uncomfortable walking back.
